A new book called "The Secrets of the Demon World Revealed" was being publicized in the book store along with author who was also there to show off his book, the man's name was Lucciola Avalon and he was sitting there bored out of his mind because he wasn't getting as much publicity he'd hoped for. Despite the fact he was giving up some truthful and juicy secrets about the demon world even though the humans thought it was all fiction, and he knew that if the demons got wind of it at least those loyal to the old kings he'd have a boatload of trouble.
But for now he was hoping for something interesting to happen because right now he was just sitting at a desk with less then five people in the book store, none of which were bothering with his book or the author so he just put his knees on the desk and waited for inspiration or some other event to strike. Lucciola was even half tempted to fiddle with his powers while no one was paying attetion but figured it'd cause a stir if a fan actually came in and saw him, so he just observed who was in the store and waited for new customers to come and hopefully perk up his otherwise dying public appearance.

Miyo was a little bored. Naiou was nowhere to be found and Neither was Miyu, her parents were on a business trip
Even though she and Naiou had just been to the book store Miyo found herself wandering in again.
Apparently there was an author there. Weird that the whole store wasn't packed like they usually were. She looked around to the table and instantly felt sorry for him. There was absolutely no one there.
So Miyo approached the author. "Hi." She smiled cheerfully.

Lucciola looked up and saw a cute young girl standing in front of him with a smile on her face but he could tell the girl was just being nice and may not actually be interested in his book but that was fine because he was just glad to be noticed for once, "Well hello sweet young lady, what brings you here" Lucciola said with a charming smile as he stands up from his desk.
He leans forward but not too far as to scare the young lady and leaned on a pile of his books that had yet been touched by anyone else at the moment but he picked one up "Care for a copy, it's not as fictitious as you may think" added Lucciola with another smile, he then spun the book around on the pile without even bothering to look.

She gently took the book from him and turned it over to look at the back. She skimmed it and smiled back up at the author. "How much?" It wasn't exactly her taste in reading but it was right up her sisters alley. Maybe she could get Miyu actually interested in reading if she found the right kind of book.
As far as it came to the fact of not being as fictitious as she thought she was doubtful. On the one hand she wasn't sure if she believed that demons existed. On the other hand she and her sister were both constantly plagued by ghost, and if ghost were real why shouldn't demons be?

"Only 8,000 Yen" replied Lucciola with a smile as he picked up the book and held it in front of him so the girl could take a look at it adding a smile as well but noticed that many of the other customers seemed to be leaving and he wasn't sure why, but for now he kept up an unknowing front for both the girl and who ever might be planning an attack on him and hoped that the girl's psychic ability that he sensed when she approached would help her if things went out of hand.
But for now nothing overt was happening and he just waited to see if the girl wanted to buy his book because then he might be able to save her from whatever seemed to be setting him up for an attack, and in a public place like this was not only stupid but dangerous for them and anyone else living around in this area if a fight ensues "So does it interest you" added Lucciola as not to give the girl something to worry about with him looking around the room.

"It looks interesting. It's not really the kind of book I normally read. I'm more of a romance type of." She said it apologetically.
"I'm sure it's wonderful though.... Maybe my sister would like it." Miyo started to dig out her money. She counted out the yen and handed them over still with a smile on her face.
She was completely unaware of anything happening. Usually she tended to ignore her sixth sense.

About four staunch looking men walk into the store and make their way around the store in a fashion that was close to flanking someone in a effort to prevent an escape from an attack that was about to occur, and as soon as these men walked in Lucciola knew that there was trouble coming because the men didn't seem the reading type in less they actually ate the books.
Looking back to the girl who for some reason hadn't noticed the guys walking in but put it to her just being a normal human girl "Well I hope that however gets to read it, will enjoy it" expressed Lucciola with a smile, but as another figure walked into the door his smile faded very quickly as he recognized his former second in command.
"Well well, seems good old Rook of the King or should I say Exile has himself a writing career though a shabby one at best but we'll have to deal with your book even if it doesn't sell someone else could pick it up" bellowed the man who was much taller and bigger then the other four men. He then leaned down closer to the girl and whispered "I suggest for your own safety, that you quickly make your way out the back of the store, this is going to get ugly" commented Lucciola.

Miyo scowled at the men who had entered the store though no one would ever have been able to tell it was a scowl. It didn't look like a natural expression for her.
"This is a store you can't just barge in and harass people." Had also ignored Lucciola's telling her to sneak out of the store. She was so very painfully unaware of her own psychic abilities that she didn't even know her own best friend was a demon let alone the people surrounding her.

The larger man grinned widely as the girl spoke up "You should've listened to the author, now you're caught up in his mess" replies Dalverdor who motions for the other four men to get in closer to Miyo and Lucciola, but as they closed in on the two one of the men picked up a book and threw it towards Miyo at a blistering speed but before it even reached the target which seemed to be Miyo's face.
Lucciola intercepted the book without a problem and threw it to the ground "Leave the girl out of this Dalverdor, she knows nothing of this and doesn't even believe in it anyway so let her go" expressed Lucciola, but Dalverdor just smiled evilly once again "Sorry sir but she's seen too much and has a copy of the book, so she's as dead as you're going to be" bellowed Dalverdor.

Miyo's eyes were wide in shock. whoever they were they sure didn't care about getting people who were unrelated to the situation involved. Though she had opened her big mouth and made herself a part of it. But really this was a book store and not a place for thugs.....
How fast had that book been traveling? One moment it was on the table the next it wasn't. She had a blurred image of it heading for her face then the next thing she knew it was on the ground. The author had deflected it? Now she was starting to think that there was more to this than met the eye. Something was strange about this no doubt. Maybe she should have believed in more of the paranormal because suddenly it was seeming to be true.
"D..... dead?" She blinked..... What had she done to deserve being killed! what had the author done to deserve being killed? He wrote a novel and they wanted to kill him for it! That was just insane no matter who or what they were.

(OOC: Sorry I haven't been around Miyo as I've not only family issues but Uni ones and the fact that I admin two forums and mod at about four more not to mention the close to 20 other role plays I'm in 6 of which I control so my times been spent on those issues and I'd lost track of some of my other ones, sorry about that)
Dalverdor motioned for his group to rush Lucciola while the man himself did the same and just as the group went at the literate demon Lucciola who sent a kick straight up at one of the charging foes which hit the demon directly in the chin and sent him flying into the air while the three remaining two grabbed Lucciola's arms while the third went completely around and headed towards the girl, but Lucciola had his own issues with trying to get the other two guys off his arms as he clamped on tight and they boss Dalverdor came at his person like he was about to hit him and Lucciola cracked a smile but was surprised when Dalverdor stopped inches from his face "You hoped I was going to hit you but remember I've known you for centuries so I've figured out your power by now" calmly expressed Dalverdor with an evil grin.
The bastard of a man opened up his hand and let off a blast of energy at point blank range in Lucciola's face which to the untrained eye would look like his head would've been blown off by the blast and if he was any other human or demon it would've made him a person who'd have no use for hats but all it did was scrape him a fair bit but all it did was cause some damage, though it did take a bit out of him Lucciola just smiled "You obviously don't remember that I can take any manner of damage and hand it back to an opponent, and I can absorb more then psyhical damage but you were always a single minded person" replied Lucciola as he looked directly at Dalverdor and a blast of energy came from his eyes and hit Dalverdor was hit square in the chest and sent flying back a fair distance causing him to land on the other side of the store front.
And with that distraction the demons on his arms watched as their boss went sailing across the room so Lucciola took the time and slammed the two guys together causing them to go out cold and fall to the floor so he turned around to help the girl with the demon that had went after Miyo.

Everything was happening so fast. The men who had come in attacked the author or at least most of them did. One came for her. She just had to go and open her big mouth.
When he started coming at her Miyo squeaked in shock and started to back up as fast as she could. This strategy was both cowardly and ineffective. With in a foot she ran in to a book shelf. The shelves in the store were not pretty sturdy so not only did her bumping in to it not knock it over but it stooped her from retreating farther backward.
Miyo was not accustomed to any sort of violence at all. In this new situation he body shook with terror her eyes were wide as she froze up. There was an odd tingling feeling coming from her hands and spreading up her body. "S-stay back." She stuttered pathetically as Lucciola struggled with the three that were attacking him.
Why wasn't any body calling the authorities someone had to know that this was going on. But no the two of them were alone. And she was definitely aware that those men were not normal by now and neither was the author.
Suddenly something like liquid light sprang from her finger tips. It formed a flowing wall in front of her body. She was shocked yet again. Was this coming from her? It was a weak shield however somehow even though she had never done this before she knew that it wouldn't hold up through an attack by her assailant.
(OOC it's fine I understand being busy and what not. Just try to let us know if your going to be gone for long periods of time and check in once in a while. Also the activity check in in the book of others you need to post in there so you don't get deleted.)
