The day was drawing to a close, and the bookstore was getting ready to close. Kamoku moved about as she got everything back in order. She placed books that had been taken down back to the appropriate shelf. She had even gotten the broom out early to sweep up the floors.
There were still customers walking about the store. That was fine. Kamoku enjoyed the company regardless if she was just an employee. Jupiter, her koi fish who sat upon the counter in his fish bowl, never seemed to provide good conversation during the work day. So, Kamoku was left to find her own conversations with the people who came in. Luckily, there were the usuals who came in every day.
Kamoku hummed to herself, and her hips swayed as if she were listening to music. Of course, there was no music to be heard. She simply listened to the melodies that played out in her head as she worked. Her mind was already lost to the thought of getting home and eating a warm dinner and then sitting down to a good book.

Naiou rushed in to the store. It was almost time to close and she needed to get that book before tomorrow.
The blue Haired girl rushed to the academic area and started to search. She had to pass that test... She just had to!
No luck... It wasn't there. "Noooooo." She groaned as she closed her blue eyes in defeat.

Kamoku heard one of the customers groaning rather loudly. Well, something was wrong. Time to investigate. Really, it wasn’t unusual to get unhappy customers in the store, unable to find something they needed. Most of the time, however, they were not looking in the right place. That’s where Kamoku came to save the day.
The girl made her way over to the customer who seemed to be having an upsetting moment. she looked like a student, which were the usual ones who had the most problems with finding the right book or not finding it as it would be.
“Can I help you?” Kamoku asked with a gentle smile.

"No. Not really." She sighed sighed again and looked back at the empty shelf.
"You're all out of the booklets for the standardized test.... I should have known there wouldn't be any this close to test day."
She had been so set on studying all the next day too. And if she didn't pass the test then she was going to end up separated from Miyo. The blue haired telepath just couldn't let that happen.
"Sorry for bothering you." Naiou told the girl who had come to help.

“There are some booklets that have not been picked up,” Kamoku said with a smile. “Some students ask us to reserve the booklets, but some of them have missed the deadline to pick them up. They are just behind the counter if you would like one. I can go get it for you.”
The petite girl loved being able to save the day for customers, especially students. It made her feel good inside to be the hero of the day. She usually did not have that chance.

Naiou blinked. "There are?" She felt kind of stupid now of course there would be extras.
"Thanks You really saved my skin." She smiled in what she hopped was a friendly way to the girl. Naiou wasn't usually very good with people.

“Yep, there sure are,” Kamoku said with a smile. “And it’s no problem at all. I try to help whoever I can, when I can. That’s what I am here for. I do work at this book shop.”
The girl walked, or more so pranced, over to the counter and pulled out one of the booklets for the student. She took off a sticker which had a name on it, crumbling it up and throwing it into a trash can. Before looking up at the now relieved girl and telling her how much the booklet cost.

She sighed still relived and took out her bag. The blue haired girl dug around for a little bit before finding he wallet and then handing over the money for the book.
"Thanks I really don't know what I would have done with out your help."

“It’s no problem at all!” Kamoku said with another grin. “Good luck with your studying.” The girl walked around the counter and began her chores once more. The clock on the wall displayed how close to closing time it was. In a minute, Kamoku would have to be pushing everyone out of the shop and leaving for home.

"Yeah thanks." Naiou shoved her wallet back in her bag and started off in a hurried pace she needed to get studying.
Aparently though, her luck wasn't with her today. THere was a loud ripping noise and then all of the contents of her bag spilled acros the floor.
Naiou swore loudly her temper riseing to the surface as she watched pens and spare change roll across the floor.

Kamoku had finally gotten everyone out of the book store except for one. The girl who she had helped with the booklet was still in the store. Her bag had ripped and all that was inside of the sack came spilling out onto the floor.
“Here let me help you,” the girl said quickly, kneeling down and starting to pick up pens and pencils and whatever else came from the bag. “I always hate it when things like that happen to me. Just a minor setback, though. I have a needle and thread in my bag in case rips happen. You should let me sew yours up real quick.”
Kamoku sent a smile up to the girl.

"I... really should get going...." Then again could she really carry all of her stuff home with out a bag? After all there was a reason why she used a bag in the first place. So Once again Naiou found herself sighing in defeat.
"Thanks... again. This is realyl not my day."

Carrying what she had picked up from the girl’s spilled bag, Kamoku made her way over to her desk in the corner. She set the pens and pencils down before going through her forest green shoulder bag. After a moment of rummaging, she pulled out green thread with a needle attached.
“I hope you don’t mind green. It’s my favorite, and I tend to only carry one color of thread around with me.” She walked back over, taking the bag from the girl before moving back to the desk and sitting down.
“Pull up a chair and relax for a moment,” Kamoku instructed with a smile. “This will take but a few minutes.

"Yeah as long as it gets fixed it's fine." Naiou was now starting to get a little depressed about this. That bag had been her first ever birthday present. Miyo had been the first person she could ever remember to consider her birthday as worth celebrateing. At least green and blue didn't go to bad together.
The telepath did as she was told and sat down quietly. "Thanks a lot again I'm sorry ot casue you so much trouble."

“It’s not a problem at all,” Kamoku said with a smile as her skinny fingers worked quickly to repair the bag. “I don’t mind. I enjoy the company. Company brings new experiences and new conversations. I think I have talked just about everything with Jupiter. I think he tires of me talking so much.”
And Kamoku had said just about anything a person could say to the red-orange and white koi fish. The fish was about the only friend she had besides her grandma’s cat One Eye and her grandpa’s dog Kuraudo-sama.
“Here you go,” she said as she quickly tied off the thread and handed the bag back.
