“Kuraudo-sama won’t bite,” Kamoku assured Naiou. “He is a good dog. I have only known him to bite one person, and that person was trying to break into our home. Kuraudo-sama taught the burglar not to come messing around our house. Good dog, Kuraudo-sama.”
The dog looked up to Naiou. He stood up slowly, his joints giving a few loud pops as he rose to his feet. He stepped over and licked at Naiou’s hand.
“See, he’s nice,” the human said as she ran her hand down the dog’s back.

Naiou grinned and leaned so she could give the dog a pat as well. She wasn't really all to fond of animals, not that she didn't like them. It was more like she just never cared.
That changed though. Miyo loved animals. She talked to them like they could even understand every single word she said. And Naiou was almost inclined to believe it. Anything was possible with that girl. She could make anyone see anything in a different light.
"He sounds pretty brave." She complemented, scratching behind the dogs ear.

“Mhmm, he is quite brave,” she said with a smile. Kamoku moved away from the dog, stepping over to the door. “Come on. Let’s go in.”
The human girl opened the door and waited for Naiou to enter before closing the door. She slipped off her shoes, almost tripping in her hurried process. She hopped over to the living room where she walked over and hugged her grandfather, an old man who was short with a pot belly, glasses, and a receding hair line.
“Naiou, this is my grandpa,” she said with a smile.

Naiou Fidgeted gently. she hopped that Kamoku's grandfather wasn't one of the people who was going to think she was a bad person because her hair was blue. A lot of older people tended to think that, which being a demon she didn't really get. After all what did a person's hair color say about them whether it was dyed or not?
"It's very nice to meet you Sir." She said respectfully with a small bow.

“It’s nice to meet you as well,” the old man said with a nod and a smile. “It is good to see a friend of Ting Ting’s.”
Kamoku gave a smile before standing up and moving back to Naiou. The human girl slipped her arm around the other girl’s arm and led her away from the living room. She walked over to an entrance way that led into the kitchen. An old woman worked about the rather big kitchen, creating a nice sized meal. A gray cat with a scar over one of its eyes laid lazily upon the table, swaying its tail slightly.
“Welcome home, dear,” the old woman said as she paused in her work to look over at Kamoku. The woman was rather short with graying black hair. She was rather petite and frail looking, but had a very kind smile upon her face. She wore an apron that had stains from cooking upon it.
“I will be up in my room, grandmother, with a friend,” Kamoku said quickly. “You can call us down when dinner is finished.”
The human girl led the other away from the kitchen and up a set of stairs. “My room is just up here,” Kamoku said.

Naiou followed the girl. She was still feeling a little out of place. the only time she had been in this kind of a situation before was when she was hanging out with Miyo.
By now Naiou was very familiar with Miyo's family though so she hadn't felt this awkward in a very long time.
But it would help her pass the test maybe and that was something she really needed to do besides it seemed to cheer Kamoku to have her here and the girl had figuratively saved her life today so it was the least she could do.

Kamoku took Naiou into her room. The room was rather large, but cluttered with books and other debris. The petite human girl made her way through the room as if the clutter were nothing. She walked over to a table that sat below a bay window and sat Jupiter down in his fish bowl. From where she stood, she threw her green shoulder bag over to her oddly, nicely made bed.
“Make yourself at home, Naiou,” she said cheerfully to the other girl. “I am sorry for the mess. I tend to forget to clean my room sometimes. I guess I am more concerned about others things like books.”
Kamoku leaned down and picked up a few books that were at her feet. She grabbed an armful and made her way over to a few large bookshelves that were already crammed with books.

"It's perfectly fine." Naiou told her. "I've seen worse anyway. sometimes mine is worse." She was smiling, still felling a little awkward.
"I actually don't usually go to many people's houses very much so I'm sorry that I probably seem a little weird." She rubbed the back of her head a little nervously.

“Well, I usually don’t get company. Well, I never get company really, so I am sorry if I seem a little weird,” Kamoku said with a slight laugh. “You can take a seat on the bed if you would like. That is probably the cleanest part of my room, not to mention it has the most room.”
The petite girl made her way around her room again. She moved over to the fish table again. She opened the big fish aquarium and put Jupiter back in from the much smaller fish bowl. The koi fish seemed rather happy for the bigger space and moved around, feeling at home once again. The human girl then moved away, hopping over to her well made bed.

"No, trust me if any ones weird here it's me." Naiou assured with a sigh. She really hated being so different from those around her. It was slowly fading but she would probably never feel fully at home in this world as much as she would like to.
It must have been nice to be human.

“There is nothing weird about you,” Kamoku said with a smile. “You seem absolutely wonderful. You have your own ways about you, and you must have plenty of college friends. You seem like the type of girl to attract many people.”
The small human crossed her legs as she became comfortable on her bed. She leaned back on her hands a bit, relaxing. Her teal eyes observed Naiou.
“But take a seat and relax. Hopefully I can help you with your studies.”
Kamoku was hoping that she had found a friend, but the petite girl wasn’t trying to push her luck. She knew how most were. They were nice at first and then after spending some time with the human; they were quick to get away.

"I don't have many friends...." In fact she only had one friend but that was OK. She wasn't quite sure how this girl thought she was wonderful but it was nice to hear it since she had been so down.
Kamoku really did remind her of Miyo. At the thought of her friend Naiou's mind instantly wandered. She opened the link that she constantly had up with Miyo. It had taken a long time for Naiou to get it so she could always know what Miyo was doing and where she was but it was worth it.
The blue haired girls eyes unfocused as she sighed in relief. This was quite common. She had found out that when away from Miyo she is always nervous and paranoid about her friend, constantly. As soon as she opened the link and saw that Miyo was safe at home studying at her desk then it caused the nervous feelings to subside for the time being.

“Oh, well, I think you should have lots of friend, then,” Kamoku said as she watched the girl. At least the small human knew she wasn’t the only one who suffered from having almost no friends. She did feel for Naiou. Kamoku hated realizing how many people preferred not to be her friend. She usually had to shrug it off and make the best out of life.
“I will definitely be your friend if that is fine by you. Then we can both have one more friend than we do now.” She sent a kind smile to the other girl. “You can feel free to come over here whenever you want to, and you are always welcomed to a free home cooked meal.”

There was talking........
Naiou felt a moment of panic she hadn't heard a word that was said... She quickly broke contact with Miyo and gently wormed her way in to Kamoku's mind just enough to get what she had just said.
"Thank you." She gave the girl a small but genuine smile. It was a very touching thing that she had just said afer all.

“It’s no problem at all,” she said with a smile, her eyes bright with delight. “Now come over here and sit down. You do have an important test coming up. So, you need to get to studying.”
There was a knock on the door before the door opened up and Kamoku’s grandmother peered in. Kamoku gestured for her grandmother to enter. The old woman came into the room holding a large tray which held dishes full of food. The amount of plates, bowls, and cups seemed almost impossible for the tiny woman to carry.
“I thought I would bring dinner up to the two of you,” she said as she made her way over to the table. She sat the tray down. “There are two bowls of miso soup, a plate of bread, and a plate of sushi rolls. There is also some rice, beef, and nashi pears. I also brought up some tea for the two of you. If you need anything else, let me know.” The old woman gave a smile to both of the girls.
“Everything looks wonderful,” Kamoku said. “Thank you.”
