It was far out in the forest, but it was worth it. The mansion of a Sand Demon, Iyashi, stood before him in the trees of the old forest that hid it from human view. He wasn't a rather known demon, but that didn't mean he wasn't a threat to Roka. He, just like all other demons, deserved to die. From stories the demon slayer has heard the sand demon has slayed innocent humans for nothing more then their daughter. This was more then enough to justify his death. Not that a death of a demon needs to be justified.
The psychic smiled and better positioned his hand on his only partner, Raikito. The boomerang started to glow a dim yellow. "Too bad there isn't a storm tonight," he said as he started to walk around the mansion. He wasn't sure if his presence was yet known but it didn't seem to matter to him. The man was filled with confidence. This was his job, why would he not be.
He found the window he needed. It was the one closest to the Master of the House's study. That was where his target was. The slayer backed into the woods and took off at a run toward the house. With as small leap he starting ascending the wall, his geta making light claps against the material. He took hold of the window frame and hung for a moment before swinging in, shattering the glass.
╞════════════╡
Blood was the new color of the furniture but hardly any was on the standing victor. The pale male was sitting on one of the few clean spots in the room cleaning the red off the brightly shining Raikito. Live electricity vibrated from the blade but didn't burn the blood of the sand demon onto it's blade. He hummed a chant from his home town, it was one of the few that had nothing to do with demons so it quickly became one of his favorites.
Suddenly his mood changed. "There's another one?!" he whispered to himself. Quickly he jumped to his feet standing on the chair he was once sitting in with perfect balance. Raikito was held behind him ready to be thowen. He smiled. Raikito should go through the wall easily. He just had to wait for the demon to open the door...

Sen had been cooped up inside all day that day. The five year old had been to afraid to leave his room because of the bad mood Iyashii had been in since early that morning.
So Sen had entertained himself by making pretty patterns on the floor with his rock collection. He had a lot of them so there were a lot of patterns to make.
This came to an abrupt stop though when sen felt someone enter the house. He tilted his head in curiosity because the energy felt so completely alien it was weird. What kind of a demon was it?
It wasn't to long after that there were the unmistakable sounds of battle. Sen had heard it before so he knew to stay upstairs and out of the way.
But when the noises stopped, the strange energy was still there and Iyashii's was gone. The little boy blinked. That had never happened before.... well obviously considering his father had still been alive.
So Sen got up and started to pad quietly down the stairs. He went straight for the room that the energy was in and pushed the door open

Closer it came... Raikito rose behind him as he prepared to hurl the weapon at the door. He just had to wait for the door to open. Instead of being worried he only smiled. Two demons in one house, it was his lucky day. His goal for the day was just to get Iyashii. Now there was this one.
The door opened and Roka's muscles rippled as started to bring Raikito forward. But there was no one there... He stopped his movement and looked around trying to find the demon. His electric yellow eyes looked left and right.... then down to the young child. The feirce smile the Demon Slayer had melted away to a soft smile. It was only a child.
Then his eyes focused on the boy's horn. A demon child! Now what was he to do?! Demons must die... but he was only a child.... a cute, adorable, inno- Demons are not innocent!
While Roka fought with his mind he only stared at Sen.

When Sen came in the door to the room his eyes went a little wide. It wasn't the first time that the five year old had seen blood but he still didn't like it. He winced slightly before looking at the person.
"Hi mister. What's that thing its cool." His eyes were wide and innocent. His curiosity was very obviously genuine. The little boy suddenly gave a slight yawn and rubbed his eyes a little tiredly.

An adorable child stood before him. Though still clutched in his hand, Raikito lowered till the tip of it touched the ground. The demon slayer dropped from the chair onto the ground. He couldn't help but smile when the young demon boy complemented his weapon. It quickly disappeared once he remembered that the boy was a demon.
His hand tightened around the handle as he though about just finishing off the kid. It would be easier to just do it now when the demon was playing innocent. It might catch him off guard. When he began lighting up the glowing Raikito yawned and rubbed his eyes. His resolve dropped back down to the ground. "What are you doing here?" Roka asked trying to sound serious to the point where he might actually be mean.

Once he dropped his hands from his eyes, Sen smiled. "I live here." HE said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.... which really it might have been.
He smiled wider. Though he still didn't know why this man's energy was so weird.. unless.....
"Hey hey. He went up and pulled lightly on the man's cloths. Are you a human?" His pink eyes were alight with curiosity again as he stared up at Roka.

That should be enough reason. Roka should just finish the child off. Slay him right there. Yet, he only stood watching the child. His innocents just glowed about him. It had been a long time since he seen someone so innocent... In his line of work, he usually seen the most opposite.
Not thinking, he let the boy touch him. But quickly he swept his arm across the boy's arm pulling his small little fingers away from the fabric. He didn't cause any pain to the boy, but it was harsh. He backed up a few steps.
"Yes. I am. And I slayed your friend here," he said. It was odd that the child wasn't reacting to it at all.

Sen blinked at the harsh action but only continued to look curiously up at Roka.
"Friend? No He's my father." Sen had never had a friend before. It had always just been him and Iyashii... well and before she left him his mother had been there. His father had friends but Sen had always been alone.
He had also known that his father wasn't a very good person. It was obvious by the way he treated others, but at least he had stayed with Sen... or allowed Sen to live in his home.

Again, that should be enough reason. If it wasn't for Roka, then it should be from the child. The human that stood before him slayed his father, and yet he does nothing. Demons are truely dispicible. Their own kin slaughtered in their own house, with the enemy still inside, yet they were just shooting the breeze. That also confused him though. Why were they here just talking... If it wasn't for his father, the boy should be trying to defend himself.
"Even a better point... he said, "Aren't you going to try and kill me? Perhaps if the boy attacked him he would get over his adorable nature.

"Why would I want to kill you?" the boy blinked again.
"He did something to you right?" After all it wouldn't surprise the little demon in the least. "Like this?" Sen pulled up his shirt a little revealing a very large and colorful bruise that spread over his stomach.

Why?! That was the stupidest question ever. Everyone knew that answer. Everyone knew that demons only preyed upon those weaker than them, especially humans! But yet, he believed that the boy really meant it. He didn't know what was wrong.
He watched as the boy showed him the wound beneath his skin. The dark flesh was colored black from what he guessed as an abusive beating, and probably not the first. It didn't occure to him that the child could have deserved it in some way.
"How did you get that?" he asked not trying to sound concerned.

Sen looked down at the ground.
" I got in his way." When he looked back up his eyes were watering. "I didn't mean too. But I dropped the rock and I had to go back for it." He sounded as if he was afraid of being punished even though his father was dead. He also sounded thoroughly convinced that it was all his own fault he had gotten the bruise, accident or not.

That was... Roka looked to the deceased Iyashii with a new fire in his eyes. He was now even more glad that he had killed that man. More and more reasons to justify his death was coming to light. However, the more that was placed on the sand demon, more was taken from the child. Something in side of him just wanted to hold out his hand and say. 'Everything's alright. I'll take you to your mother' But he knew that it wasn't possible. One, his mother was also a demon... Two, his mother was most likely dead. She wasn't here after all.
"Well, now you can leave this place..." he said almost sounding defeated. He couldn't slay this child... not now. "He can't hurt you any more..."

Leave? The five year old looked around at the room. "Leave?" But what other choice did he have then again were would he go and.... "How do I get food....."
His eyes were watering again. It was times like theses that he wished he had a normal mother. One who loved him and would hold him and tell him everything was alright.
He wiped his eyes and sniffed a few times, trying to calm down. "Hey... Are you hungry mister?"
Thinking about food had reminded Sen that he hadn't eaten that day yet.

Now tears. This boy was pulling at every heartstring Roka had. And when had food been important to a demon... other then that of human flesh. But why was the boy crying... Was he scared? Why would he be scared of something like this... He wanted to hug the child and say everything was alright. But he was a demon... If not now he would eventually grow into something that will try to destroy everything.
"Hungry...?" he asked going back to what the boy said trying to ignore his mental battle. "Not for anything that you would have..."
