Yusuke Urameshi
Dimwit (I love Genkai)
Age: 18
Born: March 18, 1992
Blood Type: A +
Living Yusuke was kicked out on his birthday, his present from his mother being a rag-tag apartment in a rough part of town. Still though, best birthday ever. His goals are to find a job he's probably going to get fired. Though, really, his main objective is find his place in the world. He's still having spirit-detective withdrawls and getting back to life as it were sucks to the highest degree.
Name: Yusuke Urameshi
Age: 18
Gender: Macho man
Species: Whatever he darn well feels like! [Though I guess psychic for the most part]
Current Residence: Human World
Height: 5'8"
Weight: About 144lbs
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Black
Distinguishing Features:You'll know him when you see him.Physical Description:You could say he's an average sized guy in terms of height and porportion, though Yusuke is beyond being called "athletic". Blame that on Genkai the next time you see her, and her hellacious training. He has short, dark hair that's not that uncommon of a doo. At times he lets it grow out to border-line "shaggy", but that's not the norm - gets in the way and tickles his ears.
His eyes are a dark shade of hazel that are capable of a glare that could make even the hardest of criminals dart back to their alley with their tails tucked. And of course that handsome face. Attire-wise, Yusuke wears whatever's normal and fits right - not giving two darns about fashion and what's in if that doesn't include jeans and a t-shirt.
Likes:♦Kicking some *ss (Kuwabara's, when no one better is around)Dislikes
♦Challenges
♦Adventures, quests, chaos, anything exciting; Normalcy, boredum and agony are three ways of discribing the same thing as far as he's conscerned.
♦Keiko, though he'd never admit it.
♦A nice prank coming together♦School - pff, who does?Personality:
♦People in general
♦*ssholes who hurt people without reason, or anyone who screws around with his friends. They can fight, roll down the hill and beat the junk out of each other all day long for all he cares but if it becomes dire or we're talking about one of his non-fighter friends, someone's going to have hell to pay.
♦Teachers, authority figures.Ever since anyone could remember Yusuke had been a loner. He never knew his father, his oh-so-cheerful mother was always on a binge, and there was no one at school, or anywhere else, that he could really identify with. There was nothing about school or any of its activities that interested him and Yusuke had had to fight his way into gaining what little respect from his peers that he had - beating the tar out of the bullies to vent his frustration was probably the only pirk of going to school. He felt like an alien in a world that he didn't belong - and one that didn't want him. Life sucked. And as a result of that, over time, Yusuke developed a very strong, "Well screw you too, world" attitude that to this day he hasn't been able to completely shake.
He's notoriously insensitive, rambunctious and sarcastic with a nipping sense of humor. Yusuke is very clever when he wants to be, especially when it comes to fighting, but he's certainly not the sharpest nail in the box and rarely plans anything ahead. Very impulsive, Yusuke will dive head-long into just about any hellhole there is and come out of it miraculously intact. Call it luck, divine intervention, or just some kind of raw talent, he's a master at winging it in situations most people wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.
Easily bored, Yusuke simply doesn't know what to do with himself if there isn't some kind of challenge to be met. He can't stand the normal life culture demands of him in human world and becomes snappy and restless when left idle for too long. When it comes to said challenges Yusuke is fiercely determined, but throughout his career he's been known to hit a few brick walls when it comes to modivation. At one point, it took the very "death" of his friend to awaken the monsterous reserves of power he has tucked away inside him that are connected directly to his emotions and nothing else. Even now, an S class fighter, Yusuke has a long way to go in terms of truly harnessing his abilities.
And nothing excites him more.
Class: S
Abilities:♦Reigun/Yogun: Also known as spirit gun/demon gun, it fires a destructive blast of reiki from his index finger.
♦Rei Ko Ha: Spirit shotgun, fires multiple spirit gun bullets in a fan to hit multiple enemies. Not as powerful as reigun when concentrated into one blast.
♦Reigan Rensha: Yusuke fires his Reigun twice in an instant.
♦Mazoku transformation: When possessed by his ancestor Raizen, his body changed into a demon form, making him much more powerful and increasing his overall stats.
♦ Super Speed and Strength
Family:ATSUKO URAMESHI ( Mother ), RAIZEN ( Now Deceased )History:Before his story truly begins Yusuke was just an average punk reject going to an average, preppy junior high school. Deemed as the number 1 delinquent by not only teachers, but classmates as well, he learned from an early age that fighting was the only way he was going to get any respect. He became known as the best fighter in his school and, for the most part, everyone with half a brain left him alone aside from Kuwabara and his group (*cough*half a brain*cough*). His only real friend had been a girl named Kaiko, who seemed to care about his future more than even he did. But having your conscience follow you around in the form of a person was annoying in itself regardless of how much he really did care about her. Yusuke was selfish, dismissive and mischievous, telling off and beating down all comers or anyone who wanted to criticize him or rag on his nerves.
But one fateful day Yusuke did something that threw off even the authorities of the underworld. A speeding car had been racing straight for a little boy in the road and Yusuke dove to the rescue. The boy was knocked to safety, but Yusuke wasn’t so lucky.
The selfless act dumbfounded the spirit world to the extent that they weren’t sure where to send him. Surely someone who’d given his life to save someone else didn’t deserve the flames, did he? But did that one action redeem him from a lifetime of selfishness? Eventually they just decided to let him return to the world of the living but, in the process, realized Yusuke had an abnormally strong amount of spirit energy. And long story short, Koenma, the prince of the underworld, recruited him as the new spirit detective. And from that point on, Yusuke was no longer just that kid in the back of the classroom.
Several adventures were embarked on and much was learned, including saving the human world from an onslaught of demons who were almost released. Though, in the process of that, it was discovered that Yusuke was actually the descendant of the demon king Raizen. And when the late rogue spirit detective killed him, Yusuke returned to life in his demon form to finish the job and save the human race - even though he was no longer the detective. A demon cannot hold that job, and Lord Enma had had a cow when news of what Yusuke had become reached him.
However, being fired didn’t keep Yusuke out of supernatural affairs. King Raizen, his ancient father, had been on his death bed and Yusuke had been called to be his successor. But instead of taking up Raizen’s battle against the other two kings Yusuke proposed that they all fight in a fair tournament that anyone could join, even the lowest level demons, to determine the one king of demon world for a set term. The two other kings (er, queen and king) agreed and one of Raizen‘s old sparing buddies, Enki, took the victory.
Since then, Yusuke has returned to human world and back to life as usual, waiting for his next excuse to jump in on some action.

Little bugs fluttered around one of the scarce lamp posts that, at least somewhat, lit that back road to keep it from complete darkness. The moon was new and sat high on its throne in the black, abyssal sky, smiling down at him with it's eyeless face as though it were pleased with the fact that it was lending the least bit of light it possibly could as he traveled down that narrow, city road alone.
Its ghostly hues rested on the tallest of his hairs and his shoulders as he walked, hands in coat pockets, with those solitary footsteps echoing ominously down each alley he passed.
He certainly didn't seem too bothered by it though. A constant stream of cynical, incoherent mutterings about some job interview hadn't stopped flapping out of his mouth since the taxi driver had dumped him at the top of the street. Apparently the last time he'd come down to Yusuke's happy new appartment complex he'd been mugged - go figure - and he wouldn't be bribed into going there again. If Yusuke were a taxi driver he'd come through here every flipping day just to run over some of these d*mn stoners.
"I'll just open up my own d*mn noodle shop right NEXT to yours. One of us'll have to go out of business."
Yusuke stomped up the cement staires to his floor, chunked his suitcase down the hall, and kicked it along once he'd caught up to it without really caring who he disturbed. Oh well, who was he kidding? Not his fault that noodle-house interviewer was a prick. He wouldn't be so cocky if he knew Yusuke was the guy who'd saved his tail from being gobbled up by a loose demon a time or two. Why was he even applying for a job? Was that really Yusuke's future? Him, mister bad*ss spirit detective himself, retired at 18 to be a noodle maker?
It was...depressing.
Yusuke shoved his rusty key in the lock once he'd reached his room, twisting it with a little more frustrated vigor than he should've and, sure enough...
-SNAP-
He stared at it for a moment, half the key still in the lock, the other half in his hand.
"D*mn it..."
