Everyone expected something to happen when Koenma brought down the barrier between Demon World and Human World. It would be foolish to think that demons and humans would get along just like that. Most think it will never happen. Demons are suppose to be superior and shall remain that way. They will take over the Human World once again.
However, there hadn't been very many attacks...
Or has there?
There had been an increasing number of deaths to humans that had some untapped spiritual energy. Each one went missing and was never found. With no way to track the demon behind it Spririt World continued to let it slide till they could find more clues and till their Spririt Detective was better prepared.
But can Spirit World wait that long?
Some lesser known psychics were going missing, each one becoming stronger as if the demon was becoming stronger as well.
Spirit World watched as a clan of Demon Slayers suddenly became active then suddenly disappear from sight. After tracking down the head quarters of the Demon Slayers, they were found all dead.
The event didn't go unnoticed and the information was spreading that there was something out there ruthlessly killing psychics.
