Kurama stands at 5 feet 11 inches, and weighs in at a light 130 pounds. He has emerald green eyes, and long scarlet hair. this often makes him stand out in Human crowds due to his bright and unnatural hair color. However, many females find it quite attractive. He is not bulging with muscles, but he can definitely get by with them. He is limber, and has lightly tanned skin. He walks gracefully, and is constantly attracting looks from the ladies - and some men. Normally found in complimenting clothing such as jeans and dress shirts, he changes into loose and oriental - designed fighting outfits when the need arises.

Standing at 7 feet tall, Kurama's Demon form has Amber eyes and a bit longer than waist - length silvery white hair. Long fox ears poke out on either side of his head, and a long, furred tail comes out of his, erm, 'lower back'. Handsome and thin, he has caught many looks from women and men alike, and has pale ivory skin.

Personality:

Kurama is quite the complex persona. In general, he has Three different personalities. Youko Kurama, Kurama Minamino, and Shuichi Minamino.

When around his Family, his human friends/coworkers, and most humans in Ningenkai, he is polite, smart, and cool tempered. Sweet, he'll be the perfect gentlemen. Hold doors open for ladies, help ederly people carry their bags, give up his seat on the bus, whatever.

When he is around spirit detectives and/or friends, Kurama tends to be less reserved and sarcastic at times. The fox is polite and usually smiling, but none truly know what lays behind the smile. He is the genius of the group, and can almost be turned to for an answer every time. He has a better control of his emotions than Hiei, and he always seems to be cool and collected, and never worried during a battle. WHen he gets angry, he usually will be somewhat snappish, but mostly stony faced. Kurama is not someone you want to invoke the wrath of... Kurama isn't one to forget, but he is one to forgive. Having been around for the longest, he knows pretty much all of the plants in the Makai, and he can probably find one for every use. Regaining knowledge from Youko's days, he can get around security efficiently and steal many a trinket. Kurama has a knack for being able to read people and interpret body language. He has many secrets yet to be revealed, and many emotions can run rampant in his mind but he can be smiling and looking normal on the outside. However, when someone does uncover somethinghe meant to keep hidden, Kurama will be shocked though he wont try to show it.

When Kurama transforms into his Demon form, Youko has a much darker twist. Arrogant and Sarcastic, he can be cruel like nothing you've ever even heard of. He isn't one to betray his comrades, but if you turn on him he will either A) Be expecting it and kill you slowly and painfully, or B) Make your life a living hell until you wish you had died. He is still highly upset about the death of Kuroune, but he doesn't talk about it. Period.

Abilities:

♦Rose Whip - Kurama transforms a rose in to a long, thorny whip - like vine. It can cut through steel.
♦Death Tree - A large carnivorous tree with acidic saliva which will devour anything that moves.
♦The Binding Fist of the Demonic Vine - This is where Kurama can form a sword - based weapon around his arm by means of a plant.
♦Ojigi Plant - A Demonic version of a Venus Flytrap.
♦Rose Whiplash - Using his Rose whip, Kurama slashes in several directions and in his main attack when using the Rose Whip.
♦Rose Whip Thorn Wheel - Uses the petals of a single flower as kunai in order to rip the opponents to shreds.
♦Kyoketsu Shokubu - A blood - sucking Demonic plant.
♦Bamboo - Simply a plant which would sprout from the ground in order to pierce its victim.

History:

A lifetime ago, Youko Kurama was the leader of a band of thieves who were notorious for their ability to steal, and he had generally become 'The King of Thieves'. He, his partner Kuroune, and his second-in-command Yomi, were the top demons in the group.

However, Yomi - who would someday grow to be one of the three leaders in Demon World - was brash, and did not listen to the smarter and sly Kurama. So, Kurama sent an assassin to kill Yomi, but he only succeeded in blinding the goat demon. Then, on a heist, while running from guards Kuroune dropped a pendant that was very special to him - and he went back to retrieve it...Only to fall into a bamboo trap which would kill the demon.

Later, while being chased by a Spirit World Bounty hunter, Kurama fled in his Spirit Fox form to the Human world, where he would combine his spirit with the unborn child residing in Shiori Minamino. Not long after, the heartless bandit would be born as Shuichi Minamino.

He had his plan set out for him. He would live in this pathetic human body under the care of Shiori, and then once his powers returned in about ten years, he would disappear back into demon world and reclaim his place at the top. However, not everything went according to plan...

While getting supplies for a project, Kurama pushed off his mother help, and ended up falling off of the stool - bring plates down with him which broke into many sharp shards. Shiori, scared for her son, reached and caught the boy - using her arms as protection against the broken plates and thus letting Kurama come out unharmed. This act of kindness, scarring and wounding her own arms in order o protect him, was what completely changed Kurama. He became a doting and loving son, and changed his mind about deserting the woman once his powers returned. Shiori taught Kurama what love felt like.

When Kurama was a little bit older (When he had short hair!), he encountered Hiei for the first time while with a girl named Maya - who had a major crush on Shuichi. The shorter demon had come to attack him for information on his sister, and it was due to the fact Hiei thought he was in alliance with another Demon named Eight-Hands (who was rumored to have eaten an Ice Maiden). It turned out to be a misunderstanding, as Kurama hadn't even known that Eight-Hands was in the area.

After defeating Eight-Hands, Hiei and Kurama, along with a soul eating demon named Gouki, stole 3 powerful artifacts from the Spirit World. However, after retrieving the one item he wanted, Kurama left Hiei and Gouki to do as they pleased. The artifact Kurama had was called 'The Mirror of Forlorn Hope'. The Mirror, whose power is strongest on the full moon, will show you your greatest desire when you look into it. It will grant you that wish for a price...Your life!

Shiori had fallen sick. And it was not looking like her condition was going to get better. When walking back from his fight with Gouki, Yusuke walked through the streets where Kurama found him and told him that the Mirror would be returned in three days. Three days later, Kurama showed up at Sariaski Jr High and took Yusuke to the Hospital in order to explain why he had taken the Forlorn Hope. Upon reaching the roof, Yusuke was informed of the 'price', and when the full moon came out, Kurama used the forlorn hope in order to save Shiori from her sickness, ready to atone for his sins by saving her life. Yusuke however, stepped in and offered his life too so that the mirror would not take all of Kurama's.

Not a few minutes after the two woke from fainting, Shiori's boyfriend Kazuya rushed up and told them that Shiori had miraculously recovered. Shocked by this act of kindness for a complete stranger, Kurama thanked him and handed over the Mirror, waiting to be judged by the spirit world.

Later, he saved Yusuke's life in repayment for saving his own by taking Hiei's sword in the gut. He helped Yusuke win the fight by blinding Hiei's Jagan eye with his blood and using his power to stop the eye on Keiko's forehead from opening. After being judged by Spirit World, he and Hiei were released to joins Yusuke's Crew, in order to fight the Four Saint Beasts and many other demons.

Invited with Yusuke to fight in the Dark Tournament, Kurama fought against many different opponents. In his first fight, Kurama fought against a Demon named Risho, who used his mother as leverage against the fighter, however, Kurama has already worked around it and kills him by planting a seed in his body and it sprouted through his skin, killing the demon painfully and somewhat quickly.

Through more fights, Kurama finally reaches Ura Urashima, who through an attack which was supposed to revert Kurama to a baby, actually went too far back and turned him back into Youko Kurama! Needless to say, he kicked Urashima's butt and moved on.

After The beautiful Suzuka is defeated, he gives Kurama a potion made from the 'Fruit of Past Lives' which will, when drunk, turn him back into Youko. In his next fight, Kurama fought against Karasu, and he was deeply wounded by the demon before he transformed into Youko and killed Karasu with the Kyoketsu Shokubu, a blood-sucking Demonic plant.

After the Tournament, Kurama returns to normal life at Meiou High School. That is, until Botan showed him the note about Yusuke's kidnapping. Along with Hiei and Kuwabara, the three travel to the house where Yusuke is being held, and after defeating Kaito - a school rival - in a word game, it was discovered Genkai was behind the kidnapping.

Learning about a hole in the Kekkai, Yusuke and crew go through the Demons Door Cave and defeat the Game Master Amanuma. However, Sensui - who survived the Dark Tournament, was the leader and battled with Yusuke while Kuwabara, Hiei, and Kurama were trapped. Kuwabara finally cuts through the barrier with his newly discovered Dimensional Sword - but alas, too late as Yusuke has already been killed.

After chasing Sensui to the Plateau of the Beheaded all three fighters are no match for Sensui's armor and Yusuke - newly revived - comes and transforms into Raizen and kicks Sensui's butt. After his defeat, Kurama and the rest return to Human world for some R & R.

Being called on by Yomi, his past life's second-in-command, Kurama traveled to demon world in order to compete in the Makai Tournament. In this battle, he fights with Shigure (The demon who implanted Hiei's Jagan) and defeats him. However, he drops out of the tournament and returns to the human world.

Because his StepFather Kazuya is the president of a company, Kurama gets a job there part time - which is enough for him to move out of his mothers house and rent a one bedroom apart of his own. He still dabbles in the detective business, and he visits the Demon World often.

Steam rose up in front of his eyes and Kurama blew gently onto the tea. His little finger began to protest touching the hot cup, so it was lifted lightly so it hovered above the surface.

Saturday found Kurama relaxing in Genkai's Temple sipping a cup of strong green tea. Yukina had made it for him, but the blue-haired Koorime had dissapeared farther into the Temple to do cleaning of one thing or another. He had knelt next to the low table, looking out across the lands owned by Genkai - the back Shoji doors had been opened for fresh air, and as a breeze blew in, the steam rising from the cup blew off to the side before it returned rising up as the wind died. His red hair had blown into my face, and he shook his head lightly so it would return to its place.

Work had been dull lately, and he wasn't sure how Kazuya could handle owning the entire company. he was pretty high up himself in the ranking and the job was a simple 8 to 2, which was perfectly fine with Kurama all except the fact it was so mundane and repititous.

He sighed mentally before taking a sip of the tea.

The bitter liquid felt hot on his tongue, but it was drunk anyway. Emerald eyes flicked to a glimmer of movement next to the doors, and focused on a small bird preening its wings on the small porch. Why was life so, normal? 'I wonder if I should go visit Yusuke...' Things were beginning to seem a little quiet around here.
