Kurama kept his eyes on the reflective metal in front of him, but he couldn't help but notice the obvious signs of discomfort she was showing, and the tension in the small area seemed to increase tenfold as the machine continued on its painstakingly slow ascent.
"A room with a view I assume?"
He gave the slightest of glances over, and wasn't surprised that she chose to break the silence.
"Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way." He sent a small smile in her direction, deciding that the apprehensive demoness across from him could relax before her demon instincts drove her to do something, regretful.
Needless to say, if she decided to attack him right now, it would not end well, neither for her or the elevator. And considering that he was on good terms with his landlord, he figured that a wrecked elevator would not keep it that way.
But on the other hand, the residents would probably appreciate an elevator that actually worked reliably.
There was a large shuddering jolt as they arrived on the eighth floor, and there was a 'ding' noise as they stopped moving. The kitsune prepared to walk off, he paused.
'Curse this piece of Ningenkai technology to the last layer of the underworld!' He thought angrily, shifting slightly.
The damn doors weren't opening.

Every time he smiled at her it just pissed her off more and more. Her eyebrow twitched as he answered her question. Why had she even bothered to bring anything up? There was absolutely no point to this all she was doing was driving herself up a wall by being around this guy.
Luckily it wasn't long after that the elevator stopped. Thank you! She she shouted mentally and was ready to follow him out of the small enclosed space. The only problem with this was the fact that the door didn't open.
She waited for a second, wondering if it was slow.... Nothing. "It's stuck isn't it." Naiou's tone was exasperated as well as more than a little edgy. She took a deep breath to calm herself. This whole day was just crap. That was all there was to it.
Why life seemed to hate her she had no idea. But then again it was her own fault for following the ex spirit detective to his apartment any way. She should be more careful than she was being but really if he wanted her dead then there wasn't much she could do to stop it.
The blue haired girl glanced in his direction again. Those damn blank eyes. She wished she could see what it was he was thinking. Then she wouldn't be so unbalanced.
