Eyes fluttered open.
The owner of the eyes groaned and closed them again before grabbing her head. She let out another groan and let the hand drop to the ground.
"Wait... ground?" Quickly she sat up and regretted doing so. Her whole body ached and the fast motion only worsened her headache. Her eyes shot open as she winced at the pain.
"What's going on.... why am I so sore and where am I?" The short haired girl looked around her. It was a building of some type and it looked like it hadn't been in use for a long time. But what was she doing here? More importantly, how had she gotten to this place?
It was getting worse. That was all that was on her mind. It had started out with small bouts of memory loss, an hour or two here and there. Now she was finding that she was losing multiple days at a time. Even during school weeks she would mysteriously be absent. She had been making excuses to the teachers but they were getting tired of it. Her cousin Hinami, whom she lived with was getting annoyed with her constant absence and accusing her of all sorts of things. Basically she was threatening to tell there family what a bad girl she had become.
But she wasn't a bad girl..... She was.... In trouble......
"No one would ever believe me though." She sighed and made herself get up. There was no point in sitting there feeling sorry for herself. She could worry about it all she wanted but no sitting around moping. Himari Sasaki was a fighter, she didn't give in to despair!
"That's right I'll figure it out. There has to be a reason I'm losing so much time and waking up in strange places...." Himari sighed again and brushed off her school uniform. She then made her way to the door. The sun was up at least. Though she still didn't know where she was.
"This could be a problem....." The eighteen year old stated to herself as she tried to find anything familiar that she could use to get home.

Humming to the wind. That was what could be heard as Kamoku Itooshii walked down the sidewalk. Her bag hung heavily on her shoulder. Her teal eyes were closed happily. An innocent smile could be seen crawling over her face. A fish bowl rested snuggly between her arms with a happy Jupiter swimming about in the water. All seemed right in the world.
There was a strange and contagious joy about the petite girl this morning. What could have caused such a good mood? Perhaps a new book? Grandma Onryou making a warm and hearty breakfast? Maybe the thought of coffee at her favorite café? None of those really were the cause of her mood, but they were all very good bonuses.
Kamoku had even walked the long way around town. She passed by long abandoned buildings, but she gave no mind to them. Her dress swayed at her knees. She seemed to almost be skipping.
“Jupiter isn’t this such a lovely day?” she questioned to the koi fish. “Perfect temperature. Perfect weather.” She let out a content sigh as she opened her eyes and observed their surroundings. “Even the forgotten buildings seem ever so lovely.”

There was nothing familliar around. So then she was just going to have to find someone to ask. As if in response to her thoughts a person suddely came in to view. The person was a girl with a full looking bag and a fishi n a bowl. Well that was odd but she wasn't going to be picky about this. At least the first person she saw wasn't some big scary guy or something.
The girl was talking to the fish and seemed to be pretty happy. Even better for Himari that the person was in a good mood. Himari started moveing toward the girl.
"Hey!" She waved to catch the other girls attention. "Do you think you could tell me where I am?"

Kamoku paused as she heard someone calling out. Her eyes slowly fell on a girl who was heading her way and waving at her. The girl was asking Kamoku where she was. She stopped walking as her arms shifted the weight of the fish bowl.
“You are right there in front of me,” she said with a laugh and a smile. “Downtown is just a few blocks that way.” Kamoku pointed down the road. “I was headed that way for some coffee and maybe some light reading. You can walk with me there if you are lost.”
What a strange girl to get this lost so close to the busy part of town. Kamoku didn’t mind, though. Someone tagging along didn’t bother her at all. She enjoyed company and the chance to talk to someone new.
“How did you get over here anyways?”

When the girl said that she was right there in front of her, Himari supressed the urge to groan in frustration... or scream.... Luckily from there the information got more helpful and the brown haired girl settled down and calmed her mind.
"Thanks! I really have no idea where I am." She ducked in a quick bow to the helpful girl. "Uh I don't really know how I got here.... I know that sounds weird..... but it's the truth."
Now she was probably going to be thought of as a lunatic. After all it sounded crazy not knowing where she was. Who knows maybe she really was going crazy.

Kamoku simply smiled. “That’s quite fine,” she said as she lead the girl along the sidewalk in the direction of main street. “My name is Kamoku Itooshii, by the way. And this is Jupiter.” She motioned to the koi fish in the bowl.
The girl hummed a bit as they continued down the street. “Are you a student at one of the schools?” Kamoku asked as they went, noting the school uniform the girl was wearing.

"Uhh yeah I'm a student nearby. I think..... I hope anyway." She still wasn't sure where she was at all. This wasn't good. How could she be loseing so much time and not know where she was going or what she was doing this was going to be a very big problem.
"Oh I'm Himari Sasaki. It's nice to meet you. if you don't mind my asking why are you carrying your fish with you?" After all this was something most people did not do.

Kamoku blinked at Himari’s question. “Well, because he’s my fish of course,” she said with a slight smile. Why did so many people questioned this? Jupiter had every right to see the world outside, didn’t he? He was like other pets who roamed the streets and were carried around by their owners. He was just in a bowl is all.
“But how don’t you know if you are a student or not? I think it’s quite obvious with your age and your uniform. You poor girl, are you that lost?” Kamoku seemed rather concerned. Maybe the girl had amnesia. Would explain why she was so lost.

Because he was a fish huh? This girl was a little odd. But at least she was nice. There were a lot worse things you could be than odd.....
"Oh no... I know I'm a student. Just not if I'm a student nearby. I still don't recognize anything...." Himari sighed. "My cousin is going to kill me." And really she might be literal about that. Hinami was.... well to put it bluntly, creepy. And the creepiness was paired with her princess attitude it just made things worse. She just couldn't believe that she was being forced to live with little miss heir to the family.
Well they had their moments until Himari decided she didn't want to do what Hinami said. That was when her cousin went berzerk..... though lately that hadn't been happening.

“Well, I guess we will find out soon enough,” Kamoku said with a smile. “Don’t worry about it, alright. We’ll just go check out the schools and see if you remember anything.”
Kamoku wondered if this girl was usually like this. It seemed as though she was suffering from amnesia but seemed to know who she was, well, sort of. Well, luckily, Kamoku was here to help Himari. “I won’t leave you until I know that you are somewhere safe, ok?”

"Oh thank you." Himari sighed. "I wish I had my cell phone I could call my cousin. though as soon as I get to a part of town I know I'll be fine." She gave Kamoku a smile. "Your being very kind though, thank you."
This was very annoying though. She didn't know how she got to this place.... how could she not know? How could she be losing so much time?
"So uhh what about you you live around here?"

Kamoku nodded her head slightly. “It’s no problem really; I am here to help. But yes, I do live around here, well close to here. But, like I said, I was headed for some coffee at my favorite café before I ran into you. But, that’s quite fine. I have plenty of hours in the day.”
Jupiter swirled around in his fish bowl as they continued to walk along the sidewalk. Kamoku’s teal eyes looked down to the fish, and she smiled a bit. “You know, we can just easily enter one of shops up ahead. They would be more than happy to let us use their phone so you can call your cousin.”

"Yeah... I guess I probably should." Hiamri said with a sigh and a slightly sour face. Hinami was not going to be happy. Oh well It's not like it was anything she could help. This was just getting ridiculous though. The trouble that whatever was happening was causing. What was going to happen next was she going to start blacking out during school or visits to her parents? Who know what she had don while she was out of it......
"This is just getting worse and worse." She groaned. "I really am lucky you passed by though."

“It really is no problem at all,” Kamoku said cheerfully. “I’m glad I can be of help. But, let’s just find you a phone to use so I know you will be safe after we depart.”
After a short while longer, they came upon a small bake shop, which Kamoku entered, holding the door open for Himari. “They will let you use their phone,” she said with a smile. She had known the owners of the shop for a while. She happened to know a lot of people, just never really talked to them. It helped that her grandparents were acquainted with so many people.

She sighed. Well time to face her doom. Himari entered the shop and asked the people who were working if she could use to phone. They cheerfully agreed and soon she was dialing her cousins cell number.
"Hello?"
"It's me Hinami."
"You didn't come home again last night." There was that snobbish sniff in her cousins voice. It must be so nice to always be looking down on other people.
"No I'm sorry I was studying at a friends and lost track of time." That was the best excuse she could come up with. And as she thought would happen. Hinami laughed at it.
"Right of course that's what happened." She snorted. "You know I could call your parents and tell them what a little tramp you've turned in to. I bet they wouldn't be so willing to give you your freedom then. " "I am not a!........" She trailed off not wanting to shout the word tramp. so she whispered the end of her sentence.
"Of course not." Hinami laughed again before hanging up the phone.
Himari sighed and went back to Kamoku. "That went about as well as i expected I guess..." She sighed.
