A coffee and the newspaper (Open)

Takeshi was sitting in the cafe enjoying a coffee and going through the paper. He was looking for any articles that were on the strange and bizarre side of what you normally read in a paper that could help in any way. He was also looking through the obituaries to see if any other psychics have been killed. Reading through while sipping his coffee someone got in his light and their shadow blocked the paper from being readable. "Excuse me your in my light." he said without even looking at who it might be.

[Miyo]

Miyo was on her way home form school For once she was walking alone. Naiou had to run a few errands and promised to come over later that night. After all with her parents out of town again and Miyu still on her mysterious trip that left Miyo all alone. Naiou didn't like to see her friend be alone so she was going to sleep over.

On the way however she decided that what she really needed was to cheer up. But what was the best way to do that? As she walked with her school bag held in both hands in front of her she spotted a cafe. Perfect! She could get some coffee and that should lift her mood a little. Then she could go home ,change out of her school uniform and start making dinner.

So she went in and stood back out of the line as she looked at what they had at this place.

"Excuse me your in my light."

"Oh! I'm so sorry sir!" She practically jumped to the side as she tried to get out of his light and ended up tripping over her own feet and tumbling to the ground.

Realizing it was not on purpose when he heard the young girl fall over he turned around and set down his paper and coffee. He got up from his chair and grabbed the young girls hand and helped her to her feet. "My apologies, I did not mean to cause you to fall over like this. Let me make it up to you by paying for whatever you get, I will not take no for an answer either." he said resting a hand on her back and escorting her back in line.

Pulling his hand away and folding his arms behind his back he stood there with her. It wasn't that large but he noticed that she possessed psychic abilities like he did. He wondered if she could sense him the way he sensed her. She didn't really look like the kind of person to be involved in the kind of life Yusuke and his own mother led. "My name is Takeshi, what is your name if I may ask?" he asked her kindly.

[Miyo]

Miyo was going to tell the man that she couldn't possibly let him pay for her drink but then he said he wouldn't take no for an answer. So she gave up on that. She didn't want to insult someone by brushing off their kindness.

She let herself be lead back in to the line and looked at the menu again as she decided what she wanted, making sure that it didn't cost much.

"It's very nice to meet you. I'm Miyo Genkani." She smiled brightly at the nice man. She hadn't noticed before because of how flustered she was but there was something about him. Maybe he had powers?

"Pleased to meet you Miyo, say, why don't we get you whatever your getting and go sit outside? The weather is particularly nice today after all." he asked. He to noticed something about her, a slightly higher reading came from her above that of the regular person. Could she be a psychic to or was he sensing someone else in the immediate area? Stepping up to the counter he escorted Miyo up to it so that she could order. "So what would you like Miyo? And don't worry about the cost, money is of no importance here. It's my treat so get whatever you like." he said smiling. He was probably coming off like a grandfather right now.

[Miyo]

"It is a very nice day out" she agreed, while continuing to look at what they had. Eventually she choose something it wasn't much but she liked the more simple things and they just happened to be less expensive which was a bonus.

"Thank you very much." She told him as she waited for her drink. She was very curious about him. This whole new concept of humans with powers was really starting to intrigue her. If she hadn't seen herself heal someone's wound she wouldn't have believed it at all.

After she chose her drink and it was paid for he escorted her outside. But rather then have her sit at one of the tables outside he instead had her walk with him a while. He didn't talk that much, just casual things like how long she has left in school, if she has a job, meaningless chit chat really.

He had led her away from the majority of the crowded city and to the more secluded area of the park. Once they were far enough away from people to be heard as well as seen easily he stopped walking at the first bench they came to. "So tell me Miyo, how long have you had a special ability?" he asked, referring to her psychic power.

[Miyo]

Miyo followed him and happily took a few sips of her coffee. It was so good! She didn't think much of where he was leading her. After all he seemed to be a very nice man. So Miyo never had any mistrust. If Naiou had been there she would have yelled at Miyo for beign so careless but she was the kind of girl who belived that everyone was good.

It did take her aback however when he asked his question. She jumped in shock and stared up at him with wide eyes. "Special ability?"

[takeshi]

He nodded his head to her question "Yes, you have a psychic ability Miyo and I want to know how long you've had it." he said stern yet polite. He folded his arms behind his back and waited for a moment. Then clearing his throat he unfolded his arms. Focusing his spirit energy he used his spirit wave to revert his physical form to that of his younger self, 28 to be more precise. (the image used for my avatar) Looking at her he folded his arms across his chest. "So, still wanna play dumb?" he asked looking at her.

[Miyo]

So he knew? Others could tell that sort of thing about eachother? Then again it made sense after all she could sense something about him.

The school girl's eyes widened in shock as the man reverted to a younger looking age. How did he do that!

"W-well I'm not sure..... but I found out about it a couple of days ago....." After all since she could see ghost she probably had this ability before she was aware of it.

(OOC: sorry that I've been gone for so long, the site pretty much died with summer ending and school starting so I basically stopped checking on here after a few weeks)

Takeshi just chuckled some when her eyes widened, as would be expected from anyone. "Oh I see, so your very new to this whole thing then. Well, if it's alright with you I would like to test your abilities and train you in them. As well as introduce you to some people I know." he said, referring to Yusuke and his friends.

Then he got a bit more serious look on his face and stuck his hands in his pockets. "I doubt you know anything yet but people with powers like us, psychics, have been getting hunted down and killed as of late. The people I want to introduce you to can help protect you and build up your skills and ability to protect yourself. As can I if you are willing to believe me and put your trust and faith in me Miyo." he said as he looked at her.

[Miyo]

Miyo continued to stare at him. WAs it just that once you had powers you continueally ran in to people with powers? Then again her best friend was a demon so even before she knew it this was happening. Really this all was probably to much for her to handle.

"Uh thank you." was about all she could manage. She wasn't to sure about getting training from him but then again it would probably make Sythe happy to know that she was getting the ability to defend herself but also she really didn't like to fight.

"In all Honesty I really don't want to be involved in anything really. I mean I've got enough problems already dealing with my sister...." Her brain started to worry about Miyu again. Where had she gone off to and what was going on with her? She took a deep breath in. Sythe had said she would find Miyu.

[takeshi]

Takeshi listened to what she had to say about not wanting to get involved. "I'm sorry Miyo but it's too late for that. See every psychic is able to sense other psychics, where they are, their strength, even demons can find you. So see even if you don't want to fight, your still going to be attacked. The least you should do is learn how to defend yourself." he said pulling his hands out of his pockets.

He folded his arms across his chest and closed his eyes, opening up his senses to the surrounding area. "Right now I can tell you that besides the two of us, there are at least 3 others in the general area. Not really looking to see if their demon or psychic. Just showing you that we can sense them and they can sense us."

[Miyo]

"I know there are three of them." She answered. After all she could sense them as well now that she knew what that feeling was. "All the same I would rather take my chances. I don't like the idea of fighting even to defend myself. I'm very sorry to have wasted your time."

She bowed in apology to him. Really he was a nice man and he was trying to help her but she didn't like the idea one bit.
