It was the new moon. That really confused the demon. Not that it was the new moon, that made sense. It was the that time of the moon phase. It wasn't the moon, it was the fact that he was out in the town.
There was something about the moon that he liked. The new moon was just one of those stay at home days, much like the rainy day is. But he was out. It wasn't going to kill him. It was just going to be an odd night.
Tonight he was dressed just as oddly or as interesting or even as sexy as usual. He dropped the white kimono and was instead wearing a modern colonial suit complete with the frills (but is wearing long pants not tights). The fabric was dark purple or blue with silver embroidery around the hems. His violet hair was let loose, but kept the regular part; his bangs were before his shoulders and the rest flowed behind him.
Because he was out on an unusual night, he didn't know what to do with himself. He was walking the streets going wherever his feet took him. It was odd that it took him here.
The hospital...
It was where the human race was the weakest. It showed that the human race was mortal. It showed that the human race was frail. But it also showed that the human race has gone a long way since the beginning, if that helped anything.

Perhaps it was the want of human flesh that drove Ruhisaki from the demon world to the human world. The new moon was definitely not what had attracted the demon to this world tonight. Oh no, not even close to reason why he would be out and about. Though, Ru enjoyed the darkness of the new moon, he enjoyed the full moon much more. It seemed the light of the moon could put the fire demon in a good mood.
He could smell death as he slipped into the hospital through a window that had seemed to have been left open. Ruhisaki was not one to make main entrances into public places like human hospitals. He tried to be discrete, since the demon had a bad habit of simply sticking out. He was rather a vivid character with his crimson hair and his crimson eyes. Humans seemed to take note of him more often than he liked for this very reason.
The demon also dressed in a way that stood out. Tonight like most days and nights, Ruhisaki was wearing a kimono adorned with vivid blues and reds. There were bracelets upon his wrists as well that clinked together in such a soft and subtle way.
The fire demon’s nose wrinkled as he stood in the empty patient’s room. He hated hospitals really. Humans were naturally weak, but in hospitals there were at their weakest. Most came here to die it seemed. It would seem the hospital would be the most fitting place to find a human to prey on, but Ruhisaki was rather picky. He would not pick a sickly little man or woman to feast on. No, he was not after a patient, but a doctor who had the misfortune of insulting the demon a few weeks back. Ru loved to hunt down his human dinner in a way that could cause him to wait up to a year before nabbing the one he desired.
Ruhisaki left the empty room and entered a dark corridor. He made his way down the hall, his footsteps soft and quick upon the tile floor.

How easy it was to fool humans. Even psychics were easy to fool, not just normal humans. A demon could waltz right into their midst and they wouldn't notice. But he was putting them in too bad of light. Even demons were easily fooled. But Yuketsu was not.
It was a demon presence that brought him to the hospital. He could feel the energy from miles away and was unconsiously drawn to it. How long has it been since he had found a demon that was stronger than him in this city? Why did he even bother asking the question to himself. It was an obvious answer. There wasn't any that was stronger than him in this city. Till now.
That was exactly why he was confused. Why was the demon here now? He laughed to himself. He was asking too many obvious questions.
He looked again at the hospital. His curiosity was getting the better of him today. This demon could easily slay him if he wasn't careful.
Yuketsu walked through the front doors. He walked as if he knew where he was going. That was an easy way to slide past anyone thinking he wasn't suppose to be there. There was now only a few floors between him and the demon. After the small trip on the elevator they would be on the same floor.

Ruhisaki’s movements were swift as he made his way down the hall and off to one of the offices on this floor. There were mostly offices up on this floor. The demon had been lucky to find the empty patient’s room on this floor, but that was to be expected on this floor. For whatever reason, all of the patient rooms on this floor had been closed down a few weeks ago. Perhaps, the hospital was just that cheap.
The fire demon allowed his senses to lead him from office to office. There was hardly anyone on this floor. A few hallways away he could hear one of the board of directors closing an office door and going off to a staircase.
In a matter of moments, the demon was where he wanted to be. He stood outside of a closed office door. He paused there, listening at the male doctor within the room. A smile twitched over his lips before he opened the door and slipped in, closing it behind him.
“Good evening,” Ruhisaki said, his deep, soft voice filling the room as the doctor looked upon him horrified. “I am sorry to say that you will not be able to stay long. The feast is about to start.”
With that, the demon advanced on the doctor in quick movements. Before the human had a chance to scream, Ruhisaki was upon him and was ripping out the man’s jugular with his claw like nails.

Apparently he wasn't interrupting. A demon of his class wouldn't bother killing demons weaker than them, at least, to his knowledge of when he lived in Demon World. If he was in the way, he would have been told to leave or die. That hasn't happened yet.
The elevator rose till it eventually dinged hitting the floor that Yuketsu guessed was the floor that the demon was on. A sudden feeling came into him when the door opened. This could very well be his death if he wasn't careful. He had to avoid making that mistake if at all possible.
He stepped out of the elevator just as a strong scent of fresh blood filled the floor. That would make his search much easier. Easily Yuketsu came to the door of the doctor. He knocked twice, then backed up to give himself the chance to run if he needed to.

The dragon demon had just sat back in the deceased doctor’s desk chair when the knock came to the door. Blood was now splattered across the walls and the floor. The doctor’s body laid upon the floor in a mess of organs and bloods. Ruhisaki had ripped open the body and taken out what he wanted.
He sensed the demon at the door before the knock had even occurred. Which is why Ruhisaki took very little care in the matter. The weaker demon could have simply barged in on him and his feasting.
“You are more than welcome to come in,” came Ru’s deep voice. He had found a cup which he now dipped into the doctor’s body as if the body was a punch bowl. The cup filled with blood and before taking a drink, Ruhisaki wiped the side of the cup off with a napkin. The fire demon was rather neat with his killings and surprisingly his clothes were still clean.

He didn't like this feeling that was in him. It was as if he was in Demon World all over again. He was watching every move he made to the slightest detail. That also made him even more sure of the fool he was making of himself. The only part of him that was scared of the demon in the room was the fact that his life could be taken. Nothing more.
The violet demon walked into the room calmly expecting the worst. The mess on the floor actually made him smile. If only he could have watched it. Then he would really be happy. "I am not interrupting your meal, am I?" he asked giving him a small bow with his hand to his chest.
Instead of respectfully waiting for his acceptance he rose back up to his full height. He didn't look at the slaughter, it was almost like a wall decoration to him and the body was just as it was, a meal.

“You are not interrupting me,” Ruhisaki said, taking a drink of the blood in the cup. He leaned back in the chair, his eyes falling upon the new demon. “I would request that you did shut the door, though. I do enjoy some privacy in these matters. I don’t need an audience of humans here.”
Ru took another drink from the cup before placing it upon the desk. His crimson moved back over to the other demon, inspecting him as he stood there. Ruhisaki had never seen this younger demon, and he was already gauging his strength.
“If you want some, go right ahead.”

Yuketsu chuckled. Privacy? He was in a hospital, there wasn't going to be privacy. "It will only be a matter of time till they know he is missing." None the less he closed the door.
After a few moments of looking at the bloody drink he declined. Though it looked quiet appetizing. Just a little bit of human blood would taint his smell and energy enough show up on the radar of humans and spirit world personnel. That was the last thing he needed.
"Is this the only reason why you are here?" he asked only out of curiocity. He dragged one of the client's chairs closer to the red demon before sitting gracefully. It would have been polite to ask, but he wanted to show a bit of pride.

Ruhisaki glanced down at the dead doctor before looking back up at the younger demon. He gave a chuckle. “Of course it is the only reason why I am here,” he said, laughter clinging to his words. “Why else would I come to such a forsaken, death ridden place?”
The fire demon took another drink from his cup. He did not care if his ways seemed odd or not to this demon or any other demon. This was the way the dragon demon lived. If he wanted someone dead, he would personally hunt them down (and eat them).
“The doctor there had the misfortune of insulting me,” Ruhisaki said, gesturing to the dead doctor upon the floor. “I do not take kind to humans daring to spit nasty words at me.”

He smiled. That was true. Now that he thought about it. Yuketsu only hoped that the demon before him didn't as why he was here. He was here because he was lured by the energy of the stronger demon. It was an intoxicating feeling being surrounded by it.
"You cannot blame the humans," he said peering down at the corpse then back up to Ruhisaki. "They don't know that we are better than them." He didn't say this kindly, nor as a human lover. He found them interesting, but nothing to be saved.
He watched as the demon sipped more from the cup. It was making him thirsty just watching, but he couldn't do it. He wanted to be clean of human blood. No... he had to be clean of it. Who knows how long it would take for the smell to get out of his system.

“Well, they should soon learn their place among other races. They are inferior, and they should know that.” Ruhisaki had no soft spot in his dark heart for such creatures as humans. The demon world should have taken claim to the human world already. Humans did not deserve their own world. Look how they had treated it? Give them a bit of their own power, and they destroy the world around each other.
Taking another sip from the cup, the fire demon leisurely leaned back against the chair he was in. His right hand reached down and took a hold of one of the deceased doctor’s fingers, but then thought better of it. Humans were foul creatures who kept dirty hands. He would have none of that floating in the bowels of his stomach. Instead, his hand went for the heart, ripping it out of the chest. With a quick hand movement, the heart was ripped from the doctor’s body, and Ru was leaning over and taking a bit from it.
“I am too old to not expect the utmost respect from almost all creatures. I have not lived so many years to be belittled by something like a pathetic human.”

The blood only seemed to make it more delectable.. Really, he needed to get his mind off of the demon's energy. It wasn't going to get him anywhere fantasizing over it. If anything it was just going to get him in trouble.
"They should," Yuketsu agreed smoothly. "Ask Spirit World why they don't and why we must remain a secret." The barrier being destroyed was one step towards how life should be. However, it was because the Demon King wanted to be at peace with human world.
"There are so many, that this doctor's death won't even come up as a big significant loss." He wasn't sure if he was suppose to say this cheerfully or regrettably so he said in in a rather monotone voice. He assumed that the demon would have it as a regret, but he didn't want to take chances.

Ruhisaki shook his head slightly. “You can’t depend on the Spirit World,” the dragon demon said, looking back to the younger demon. “They will not get things done for us. We must do them ourselves. If a human does an injustice to me, I pass my own judgment. For instance, this doctor spits insults into my face; I slit his throat and drink his blood. It seems like fair punishment. It is something I would do to my servants.”
The stronger demon stood up and walked around the room. The cup full of blood was still in his hand, and he casually took a drink from it. Ruhisaki looked at the books the doctor had had on his shelves and then at the diplomas the doctor had earned. After a moment, his crimson eyes slowly went back over to the corpse of the human.
“I should carve my name into his flesh, but I would not give the humans the satisfaction of having something to hunt down. However, I would not be afraid to take on a whole army of that inferior species.”
Ru was not afraid of humans and their weapons one bit. He could take on anything that they would send his way with a power that most could not dream of.

He watched the demon casually. It was odd. Though they had the same general idea, their reasons behind it was completely different. Both of them wanted to be known to the world, but Yuketsu had some respect for the human race. They were interesting creatures and some are quiet worthy of living along side demons. However...
"A demon of your stature shouldn't be," he replied honoring his strength to the highest degree. "Even if you did, I do not think that they would understand." The violet demon smiled.
Yuketsu stood and walked over to the body. Careful not to touch his garments on any of the blood he brushed his fingers against the doctor's forehead. The traumatized look on his face before his death was quiet humorous. "Many of who we kill go unnoticed."
