It was a bad part of town, that much was obvious. The buildings seemed to be decrepit despite the fact that they were relatively young for buildings. The windows were darkened and all of the doors were shut tight. Even the air in the area seemed to be thick with a kind of sickening feeling the seeped from everything around the small back alley part of town. On the corner of each street there were a multitude of shady characters, all of them stared at the boy that walked down the center of the street. Kizuna Amatsu was still dressed in his blue school unifrom. It made him a large blue beacon, a sign that he did not belong. It did not particularly bother him though. He wanted to be here.
All day he had been feeling a strange presence coming from here. He had first noticed it while on his way to school. He felt a pressure in his chest and soon it was followed by a ringing in his ears. Soon enough his sixth sense was pushing him in that direction. It took all his will power to suppress his curiosity and keep him from leaving during school to find out what it was. Luckily, the strange source of the power still had not moved. Kizuna could not help but smile. Whatever it was it was strong, stronger than any other demon he had fought in the past few weeks.
The teen slung his book bag over his shoulder and then waltzed into the underground cafe and looked around. Before he could even get a good look something exploded inches from his head. He blinked and then looked down to see what it was. It was a the remains of something glass, most likely a pitcher of some sort. He raised his gaze and his eyes widened. "This must be why." he mouthed to himself as he looked around. Small horns sprouted from about half the patrons of the bar. Almost half of the people in the bar were demons. Kizuna wasn't sure if he should be ecstatic or whether he should back out and pretend he hadn't found this place.
He shrugged as his desire for entertainment won out. He touched his free hand to the side of the door as he made his way in. He got several dirty looks before he sat down. The man at the counter eyed him before asking him what he wanted. "Water," Kizuna replied. That was all he could afford. He wasn't even half way done before a fight broke out. He turned around and saw two demons brandishing their fists. It wasn't long before they were rolling around on the ground slugging each other. Kizuna wondered if he should break it up or let things play out.

Naiou had been walking through town again. She did this quite often when Miyo was busy with family and things like that. Really she had nothing better to do.
The blue haired demon sighed. Plus she liked to know who was around. More and more demons were coming to the human world and she didn't really like it all that much.
The more demons that ended up in the human world then the easier it was going to be for one of them to decide that as a week psychic, Miyo made a good snack.
So Naiou went out on a kind on patrol once in a while as she tried to figure out if she really had to start worrying about this. Miyo was such a nice gentle person that Naiou was afraid she was going to end up trying to help someone that would take advantage of her. She didn't want her best friend eaten.
It was then that she sensed it. The auras flaring in the fight down in the shady cafe were weak but still the battle as pathetic as it was stirred her own desire for battle.
Cursing her instincts she pushed the feeling aside but started to walk down the stairs in to the run down place. Her school uniform definitely didn't fit in in this place.......
If anyone put a hand up her skirt they were going to die.

Kizuna felt a grin spread over his face when he realized no one wanted to break it up. That meant he had to. He let out a cheerful laugh as he jumped out of his chair. He walked over to the two battling demons and politely tapped on of them on the shoulder. "Excuse me, do you two thing you could keep it down possibly?" his voice dripped with insincere innocence. The demon growled and batted his fist at Kizuna. The boy casually slapped it aside. The demon was somehow shocked by this. So shocked that his opponent landed a free hit sending him to the ground. It wasn't long before the one on the ground got up and redirected his attention toward Kizuna.
He roared as he slashed at the teen with a pair of claws that had went unnoticed. The other was in a state of confusion, but soon decided that he should help so he could finish his business with the demon. Things looked grim for the human... and he loved it. With grace no average rank C could muster he avoided the blows and slapped his opponents' backs sending them to the ground. When they got up Kizuna simply smiled. The propped themselves up and then nodded to each other. They charged in tandem Kizuna laughed once more as his powers activated. The two black dots he had left on their backs began to glow and purple chains erupted from them linking the two together.
Kizuna ducked under their charge and grasped the chain with both hands. He spun slowly and the demons followed. Soon he spun faster and eventually they were lifted off of the ground. After he had gained enough momentum he released them. The moment he did the chain vanished and they slammed into the walls on either side of the door. Kizuna placed his hands behind his head and chuckled. "That was kinda fun." he said as he looked around. The demons were stunned and the humans seemed to have no idea what happened.

Naiou watched the fight and she had to admit that she was impressed. For a human his level he had done surprisingly well. Though the nature of his weapon had given him an advantage.
Her restlessness was coming down now that the fight was over. Sure she was a demon that didn't mean she was fist happy or lusted after blood like others of her species did.
She wondered about him though. She didn't really think any talented psychics had been around otherwise why would Miyu be the spirit detective? Oh well spirit worlds mistake would end up good for those that hated them in the end so Naiou was happy for the moment.
Though just because he wasn't the detective didn't mean he wasn't capable of being a tool of spirit world. Should she keep an eye on him?
Naiou hadn't moved from the door way still as she stared at him.

Kizuna laughed once more, a bright and cheerful smile replacing the smug grin he had worn. He loved fighting, no, to be specific he loved an interesting fight. He had grown bored of humans and he just recently turned his attention toward demons. He didn't know much about them other than they were much stronger than humans. The lanky boy strolled over to the counter and then picked up his bag. He gulped down the water he had ordered and then placed a small amount of change on the counter. It was a tip. "Thanks for letting me wreck up the place." he said as he turned on his heel. He blinked when he saw someone standing in the doorway.
Standing there was a girl with blue hair wearing a school unifrom. Kizuna wasn't sure what she was, but either way it seemed like she didn't belong here, more so than he did. He walked over to her and put his hands into his pockets. "This really isn't the safest place to be." he said to her. He wore a sincere smile this time that actually hinted at the fact that he cared about the well being of others. "To be honest, I don't really think it's safe for me to be here either." he quickly added, rubbing the tip of his nose with his index finger.
He had never seen the girl before, he was sure he would have remembered her if he had. He had never seen someone with blue hair or many people with blue eyes. He wondered what had made her come to this hell hole. Maybe she was curious or had gotten lost. No matter, Kizuna had already decided that he would help her get out of this place whether she wanted to or not. He couldn't let a girl stay in this place alone. It was crawling with thugs and demons.

At first Naiou just stared at the odd boy. She blinked a couple of times and then started to laugh, not hard just a couple of little chuckles.
"Whatever you say." She turned to go back up the stairs assuming that he was going to follow. On the inside she was still laughing. Was his awareness really that bad?
She wondered if she was being paranoid or if she should check it out? Really it couldn't hurt anything to prey in to his thoughts a little bit, nothing big just enough to sense his mood.
She reached out gently with her powers and probed lightly at his mind trying to see if he was serious or not. It seemed like he was. She didn't dare probe any further though. He would probably sense her then and maybe he already did.

Kizuna glanced back at the bar as the girl pried into his mind. He was completely unaware of her presence as he thought. There are a lot of demons down here. It wouldn't be right to just let her stay here. Something bad could happen. He glanced towards a human and frowned. And there are also those guys, the thugs. He looked away and then quickly walked out of the cafe. The door slammed behind them and all of the anchor points he had left behind vanished. Kizuna slung his book bag over his shoulders and then turned to the girl. I wonder why she came here Maybe she got lost. It was obvious that Kizuna had no idea that she was a demon. His powers to spot them wasn't exactly that great unless they had strange features. If they were humanoid he wouldn't be able to sense them unless they were extremely powerful or if there were a large number of them.
"So," he casually asked as he turned around and began walking backwards. "Why are you in this part of town?" he asked. "It doesn't really look like you live around here and I don't really see any obvious reason for you to be in that place." He didn't have a lot of room to talk though. THere was no obvious reason why he was there, at least for the average human. Unlucky for Kizuna, this girl wasn't an average human and she had seen his fight.

"I was just taking a walk." She answered. It was true after all. She had just been walking by and happened to sense the demon fighting.
"I heard the noises from inside and got curious. That was impressive by the way." Naiou flipped a little bit of hair out of her face as she complemented his fight. After all he was very impressive for a human his level and she was very surprised spirit world didn't train him to be at least something with his talent. She was glad for it though. The less Psychics spirit world had the better.

"Oh, you saw that." Kizuna rubbed the back of his head and his cheeks turned a lot shade of pink. "It was nothing, really. I just wanted those guys to cut it out." That wasn't the whole truth. Kizuna had purposely come looking for a fight. He wanted to fight a few demons just to do something worthwhile today. He looked at the girl and smiled. He guessed making a new acquaintance was something worthwhile too. "Anyways, my name is Kizuna." he said as he turned around and began walking forward. "What's your's?"
He looked at her school uniform and wondered where she went. He had never seen a uniform like that, then again he really didn't pay much attention to uniforms. Heck, he barely knew what his school uniform looked like. More often than not he spent most of his time on the roof of the school either sleeping or watching the clouds go by. For some reason he was still able to make passing marks even though he never showed up for class, though he always came to school.

"It was impressive." She repeated at his comment about his fight. She let him lie about the reason for the fight though it was obvious by looking at him that he had been enjoying it.
"My name's Naiou." She replied to the boy. It was only polite after he had given his name and if she started to get in to bad habits of being rude Miyo would scold her. Though that was a pretty funny image.
She pulled her cell phone out of her school bag to make sure it was still alive and sure enough it was. She had just wanted to make sure. If Miyo needed her then Naiou wanted to know as soon as her friend called.

"Naiou," Kizuna said, trying out her name. "It's nice to meet you Naio." he finished with a childish grin. "You know, you've got a really strange idea of where to walk." he said as he looked around them. "This place isn't that great and the scenery here is really dreary. This definitely isn't a place that I'd want to walk." he muttered the last part as he spotted two men glaring at them. Kizuna didn't respond and simply looked away. He looked back just in time to see Naiou check her phone. He suddenly remembered his own.
He pulled it out of his pocket and then sighed. He had at least five text from his class president. They were probably trying to find him again. He had taken the liberty of leaving school before it was over. He had only skipped one class... well technically he had skipped them all. He had just left during the last one. "Ugh," he muttered. "I'm gonna get chewed out when I get in the classroom tomorrow." he said aloud without meaning to.

She shrugged as he was talking. "I was just walking I really didn't plan were I was going." Again that was true. She just went with out thinking of where.
She had to laugh. "Don't much care for school?" In Miyu that annoyed her but with him it was actually pretty entertaining. Then again Miyu was a selfish sister hating spirit world tool, so most of the things she did annoyed Naiou."
"Apparently you don't have a friend who makes you go." She laughed again this time at herself. Miyo would never let her hear the end of it if she skipped.

"Not in the least." Kizuna said with a deep sigh. "Me and school don't go well together. It bores me and puts me to sleep and it gets chaotic whenever I go. I usually end up laying on the roof watching the clouds go by." he blinked when she mentioned having a friend that made sure that he went. He thought about it for a second and then shook his head. "No, not really." he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. Kizuna didn't have too many friends. If he thought about it he really didn't have any at all. He had lost most of his friends during the years when he had cared for his siblings.
Kizuna was completely alone in school. Sure, he had a few acquaintances, but no one he really called friend. The only reason he went to the school grounds was because he had nothing better to do with his time. he had no money to go to the arcade and he really didn't want to run into the police and be arrested for truancy. "Speaking of school, where exactly do you go? I don't think I've seen your uniform before."

"Oh I don't go any were remotely close to here. My school is across town. I just like to walk." She stashed her phone away again after making sure the ringer was on.
She wondered if he sense the people that ha followed them out of the cafe? They were just ordinary humans so she wasn't to worried about it. Whatever they did she and Kizuna would deal with it quite easily.
"School's not exactly my favorite place either." She admitted. "But if I wasn't there my best Friend would get here self in to trouble on accident."

"So you only go to help your friend." Kizuna mused aloud. "That's very kind of you." he said happily. He wished that he could have a reason like that to attend school rather than his usual reason of having nothing better to do. He let out a sigh as he wished he could have someone to give him a reason to go. He wasn't that lucky though. His father didn't care about much anymore and his siblings were busy with there own lives. In a sense Kizuna was alone at school and at home. If it bothered him he didn't show it and he never thought it, at least not on the surface.
Kizuna's spiritual awareness was sub par. Not only could he not sense most demons he could barely tell when another person was around. He had to rely on his other senses for that and since they were currently trained on Naiou he had no idea that there were men following behind them. If he had he probably would have come to a dead stop and started a scene which would then turn into an all out brawl. Kizuna put his hands behind his head. "You must live pretty far away then. Don't your parents worry about you being out by yourself?"
