The leaves were painted in a beautiful mixture of golds and reds, a few drifting on the breeze as it swept through the grassy, thinner part of the forest. The noonday sun shimmered down through the cloudless sky and glazed almost blue on the man's black hair. The area was filled with the beautiful sound of the winter birds scurrying to and fro to fatten up for the yearly famine to come. "Stupid birds..." Well, perhaps not everyone viewed the sound as beautiful. But then again, Yusuke would probably say the most skillful singer sounded like a three-year-old who'd just discovered a piano while in a mood like this. "How the h*ll did Koenma talk me into this?"He was sitting down with his back against one of the trees, jeans, a white tee, a brown jacket and a frown making up his attire. It had taken a while to travel out here to Genkai's freaking national park, but Yusuke couldn't think of a better place. It certainly couldn't be anywhere that had normal people. And besides, he planned on paying her a visit once he was finished teaching this "Miyu" kid her ABC's. Maybe ask a little advice about his current delimma... Yusuke had been dreading this all day though...he wasn't sure why. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe this girl would be a nice little pupil who'd make him look good. But still, the idea just didn't seem like a good one. Yusuke didn't even know what HE was doing half the time, how the heck was he supposed to teach someone else? "If she doesn't make a show in five minutes I'm out of here..." [/blockquote]

Miyu wasn't in a good mood. She had spent the majority of the passed few days trying to get Arai to take it easy and then on top of that his appetite was back to normal, which while comforting wasn't very helpful in other ways.
Couple that with the fact that she had been taking crap from her sister since she had announced her "educational trip". She had told her family that it was a class trip and a chance for extra credit. This was the right way to keep her parents from asking questions since they were always on her case to get better grade...... just like Miyo.
Miyo wasn't buying the excuse as much as her parents were and she had been trying to pry the truth out of Miyu ever since she head about it. In fact she had tried to follow Miyu this morning but all she had to do to was wait until it was close to school time and almost make Miyo late that fixed that problem.
So here she was now, walking through the forest. clad in jean shorts and a yellow T-shirt. A yellow head band was holding her hair out of her face and she was scowling heavily.
As much as she knew they needed a teacher she wasn't looking forward to this, especially since Koenma had picked the person. But beggars couldn't be choosers so she would just have to deal
It was also making her a little nervous she had sense the insane energy as soon as they entered the forest..... was the last spirit detective really that strong?
She and Arai had been silent for a while now as she lead him. They both had backpacks with them. After all they had no idea how long this was actually going to take.
Finally they reached their goal. Standing there was an average looking young man with black hair. He didn't look like anything special but just being that close to him would have made her hair stand on end if she was a cat.
And he was a demon?.......... how was that right? Wasn't the spirit detective supposed to be the protector of humanity?
Still trying to figure her thoughts out she dropped her red bag and met his brown eyes with her green ones, waiting for him to make the first move.

Being outside gave him a head ache. There was so many noises to look for and each and every one of them kept him on edge. The trip with the cow wasn't so bad, he had the cow to keep his attention. He really wanted that cow back, but Miyu wouldn't have it. As he thought about it, she was right. Cow's couldn't live inside. Not one bit. There was no.... grass, that's what it was. Though the carpet felt about the same on his feet, it definitely wasn't.
During his stay with Miyu he managed to learn how to change his leathery skin from it's brownish gray to a grayish flesh tone. It was a little odd, but much more normal then his old skin color. He couldn't manage much else though. His mane of hair his ears well enough, and till they were out of town he had to wear sunglasses. The illusion kept well enough till they reached the forest where he was more concerned about the surrounding lesser demons then holding his human appearance.
Miyu also managed to get him into some cheap but intact clothing. People would stare if he was going to walk around with his old clothes. They weren't anything special, it was just amazing that they fit him. Once training started they would most likely be torn to shreds just like his old clothes.
The demon walked with a hunch as he ate his potato chips as slowly as he possibly could. His black eyes remained on his food. After all, he knew his eyes wouldn't see anything. His ears often twitched and turned trying to catch all the sounds... It still caused such head ache. It didn't seem that Arai took too much notice of the rising energy before them. Perhaps he had less spirit awareness out of all of them.
Arai finished off the chips right when they got to the top of the stairs. It made hims smile till he looked at the ex-spirit detective at the top.
"That him?" he asked Miyu not caring to quiet his voice. Now he was trying to keep a step in front so that he would be able to defend his friend if it came to it.

OOC://...Standing? Stairs? -_- You guys really need to start reading my post. The demon flicked a leaf off his knee then sighed as he leaned back and closed his eyes, just to rest them - just out of boredom. He sensed them long before he saw them or heard. Two little powers were moving toward him. Nothing to open his eyes about though, they were probably just some of the many apparitions that wandered these forests and it’s not like they were a threat. Spinning off the fact that they were coming straight down his driveway, Yusuke dearly hoped they were looking for trouble. He could use a nice punching bag right about now.
He was kind of surprised though when they came up the hill and into eyeshot. It was a young human girl and a demon, both having stopped and were now staring at him expectantly, if not standoffishly. The girl’s emerald eyes beamed at his across the grassy way, and he met it with an unintentionally intimidating glare. This must’ve been Miyu, eh?
”She looks so fragile.” He couldn‘t help but think. She was a little girl! A cute, little 13 or 14 year old girl that looked no more like a street fighter, much less a vicious demon hunter, than Kuwabara’s kitten. And she was weaker than he’d expected. But he guessed it made sense. She was about a C, give or take...
Surely Yusuke hadn’t come off like that.
”So,” He spoke at last, taking his time as he got to his feet, ”I assume you’re Koenma’s new errand girl. Took you long enough.” He tilted his head back and to the side ever so slightly, eyes narrowing as they finally broke away from hers to lock onto the creepy demon thing she‘d brought along. ”He made it sound like he was handing me some big girl street fighter. Didn’t know you were bringing your mother.” Ahh, never underestimate the power of a good yo-momma tear. Koenma hadn‘t mentioned she‘d be dragging an audience. Not that it mattered, it’s just he hoped this little guy wasn’t a NEEDED moral support. Yusuke was getting the feeling he had his work cut out for him…
But maybe she‘s surprise.

(ooc: sorry lol I somehow read the word sitting as standing. I do that sometimes. I'll go back and fix it later. Just let me know if I do something like that again cause usually its either me reading something wrong or accidentally typing the opposite of what I mean.)
"Yeah I guess so." Was her answer to Arai. She continued to stare back at him as he seized her up. She gave a small grin at the first comment he made. "Well I guess that's a pretty good term for what I am. As far as my size goes. Well there are some advantaged to being small."
When it came down to the comment about Arai she snorted heavily. "Oh trust me my mother is a lot worse looking than him." She gave a little smirk. "If that's the best trash talking you can do then this isn't going to be any fun at all." She really had hopped that this teacher Koenma had signed her up with would be more interesting... besides his enormous energy.
"Or maybe it's that you've gone soft since retirement?"

This was the teacher. He was getting a bad feeling about this. He looked only human, but he knew very well that looks meant nothing. The other creations that he has killed all looked significantly different some more 'human' then others. This man looked the most human out of all of them. But something about him screamed demon.
His toes flexed inside the tennis shoes that Miyu managed to cramp his feet it. Already they were big on him, but not big enough for his tastes. They wouldn't manage at all for him. He pulled off his bag which had a blanket cramped in it then pounds of food on top and set it before him. Using it as an excuse he knelt down with it and started pulling at the teeth of his shoe. There was no way he was going to be able to fight in these.
The two of them didn't seem overly hostile though. It was just paranoia that the Creators had set in him. Actually, what they were saying was quiet confusing. "Mother...?" He looked to himself the up to Miyu. He had no idea what was going on.

Yes, well, it seems things would be heating up very soon.
Did that kitty just roar? Yusuke's face went into a totally priceless look of dumbfoundment for all of two seconds, staring at her like she'd just sprouted another head. Wh...ch...wha?! “Where did that come from?” He thought. Yusuke was…almost impressed.
Though of course, it took barely moments for his temper to outrun everything else. His fists clinched and were held slightly out at his sides, teeth baring in a snarl as he started toward her. "Listen here you brat! The only thing that's going to be soft from now are your meals when I bust your teeth down your squawking throat!" He snapped, "The only reason I'm here is because I'm bored alright and trust me, I've got a million better things I should be doing right now so I'm going to tell you like I told your binki-sucking boss." He stopped only when he was inches from her, grabbing her if she tried to move back. "If you p*ss me off, EVERYBODY goes home in a sling." Her, her momma, Koenma, and anybody else that might get in his way! So there. Little ingreat…
Perhaps Koenma really should’ve introduced them himself first instead of just turning them loose on their own. Miyu was 14, Arai was 2 in his mindset (right?), and Yusuke…well…wasn’t exactly the most mature person in the world.
”And then your little cheer-squad is going to be on its own.” Is there anything else you’d like to add, Yusuke? OOC:// Lol, I think she ruffled his feathers, eh?

Miyu's grin just got bigger. She would have been insulted by what he said but she could tell that her comment got under his skin. She put a hand on top of Arai's head in case he got defensive over the older demon's hostility. Her eyes met his again.
"Good, because I didn't come here to be babied. I came here to get stronger." She did feel a little nervous about this and she knew that she was in for a lot of pain but she was also more than excited. After all she lived to fight.
"And as for Arai. He's here to learn too. Seeing as he's my partner he needs to be prepared as much as I do." She wasn't going to give up on that. Arai needed it as much as she did.... well almost as much......

A grumble grew in Arai's throat. His foot was nearly out of the thing that humans called shoes. Why they wore these things he didn't know. He couldn't move his toes at all. They couldn't breathe being bound in cloth. It wasn't like his feet were hurt. His chest on the other hand, yes, it was now covered in soft tissue. Though he didn't have to wear the bandages any more any wrong move could cause problems again.
As Yusuke came closer, the demon tossed the shoe off and was working on the other by the time Miyu pushed him back down. Like that was going to be enough to stop him. However, he settled back down to his resting position prepared to rip off the next shoe. This man was giving him the weirdest feeling ever, and he didn't like it. But when Miyu called him by name he smiled.
Everything he did here was going to be to help Miyu. No teacher was going to stop him from doing what he can to become stronger and more under control. Being a tad bit more educated when he wasn't in control would do wonders as well.
The gray demon let Miyu do all the talking. She was much better at it anyway. Already what the man was saying was confusing him. How did he look like someone's mother... He was a man wasn't he?

Yusuke's snarl began to loosened as she spoke, hands on his hip. "At least your head's in the right place." Oh goodness, of course it was. Yusuke was slightly relieved. She was beginning to look less like a camel he'd have to shove through the eye of a needle.
"And as for Arai. He's here to learn too. Seeing as he's my partner he needs to be prepared as much as I do."
"Then let's not waste any more time." He flashed back to the place he'd been sitting beneath the tree, disapearing completely with his speed. He hadn't done that much when he'd been a human but now that he was demonified it used a lot less energy - was pretty fun too. He felt a little Hiei-ish today. "I guess first of all I need to know what you suck at the most so don't hold back. First loser to touch me wins."

Miyu blinked in confusion until she realized that he had moved. He was much faster than she would have ever expected. He made Arai look slow and until now he was the fasted demon she had ever faced.
Why do I have a bad feeling about this whole thing.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment to get rid of her nerves and then did something that she normally wouldn't. She charged straight forward toward her opponent and went for a direct assault. After all no better way to gage a persons fighting skill then by an getting the offense out of the way right?

Well, here she came. Yusuke felt like he could've read a novel in the time it took her to get there - as if he read novels, which is our point exactly. He watched her fist fly for his face and dodged it with ease, as well as anything else she may've tried to throw.
"I'm a powerful bad guy, not your teacher." He informed her, introducing a bit of roleplay into their session. He hadn't intended to start barking at her this quick into the spar. But she was being too "training session" minded. Either that or she was plain out dumb.
"I just kidnapped Boton and the only way you're getting her back is to take me down. Don't be so d*mn obvious with your attacks!" ...Nevermind the fact that Yusuke often started his fights in that way. But he wasn't exactly thinking about that right now. The only thing in his mind at the time was how easy it would've been to bat her face in the dirt just then.

What was... Huh? Arai was rather dumbfounded for the moment. He thought this was suppose to be training, not a full out brawl. This man used many odd words in his sentences as well. His brain had yet to comprehend contradictory wording. As he was trying to understand what was said Miyu began attacking. At the moment he only watched.
This was reminding him of back when he was in the Cave. Fighting for survival and straight out attacks to the opponent with steady taunts from those that watched. This was a little different, but some of it was just sticking out in his mind. Miyu was trying so hard to keep him from not reliving his past, and this was just about it.
The other shoe came off and he began stalking around the two of them as the teacher spoke. At least while he had control he could think of some kind of battle plan. It was easy for the demon to think the way that Yusuke wanted them to think. Everyone was the powerful bad guy.
In a split second he made the decision to go straight for the legs. His toes spread apart then dug into the ground as he ran toward the two of him. At the last moment he checked to make sure Miyu wouldn't step in the way before he attacked. This wasn't as fast as he could go, but rather fast to most weaker than him, Miyu included.

Smirking slightly, Yusuke watched Arai circling around from the corner of his eye before he had to return his focus to Miyu. "That's more like it..."
The grass suddenly ripping beneath Arai's feet gave him away - which wasn't necessarily bad, provided you were quick enough to get to your opponent before they could react. He actually closed in a lot quicker than Yusuke anticipated though, good for him, and the demon missed the bottom of his boot by a fraction of an inch. Yusuke had sprang upward to let Arai sail on by underneath. Dang, the little grimlin guy sure could skoot. He'd have to make a note of that.
"Spirit gun! Bang!" Ha, got you. He didn't really fire it. Just formed his hands like he was and aimed it between his feet while in air, pretending to shoot Arai as he flew by. Why in the world had he dreaded coming here so? This was fun as heck.

Miyu flushed a little bit in embarrassment but it was quickly out of her mind. Her eyes were on Arai. She would have to watch him carefully he probably didn't even really under stand what was going on.
He understood enough though and she almost felt bad for that. She hadn't explained the concept of sparing to him and so he may or may not think this was a real fight to the death.
However when he aimed a finger at Arai a shiver of slight rage went through her a second before she realized that he wouldn't actually do it. Her body was already in motion though and regardless Arai made a good distraction.
Miyu jumped up as well going for an upper cut punch. It was bad enough that he was taller than her but he could also jump higher she had no idea how this was going to work out but she was staying alert in case her turned the fake spirit gun on her so that she could doge it.
"Who would want to rescue Botan anyway. She mumbled to herself." .
