[FINISHED] Mystery of Demons Door Cave

[Miyu]

She was ready. That was all that mattered. As soon as he stacked she could react. Or at least that was what she thought. Then he was behind her. Miyu almost let out a surprised scream but held it in and only a tiny squeak came out of the spirit detectives throat.

She whirled around to face him again. On the bright side she didn't have to worry about being grounded anymore. The down side, well she wasn't quiet sure how strict or harsh spirit world punishment was. She wasn't exactly a saint. But as acting spirit detective who died while working Koenma would cut her some slack right?

She couldn't give up though. This fight was still going to be given her all. This might turn out painfully but she was going to fight until her last breath.

[Arai]

That made Arai smile. This girl was afraid of him. She knew she was outmatched. She wasn't as defective as he thought she was. The girl was still a human, perhaps not one that poked him, not one that caused much pain. But none the less a creature that was part of his creators that caused him pain.

This track of thought turned his somewhat fun and confused look into a more evilly happy and yet angry look. He was going to be able to take out the anger he had for the creators out on this helpless girl. And then he was going to be able to eat her, and if he was lucky, he was going to get his regular meal at the same time.

His limbs could move faster through the air then he could carry his body. At the speed of his afterimage technique his hand crossed his body and brought his claws upward. Arai didn't want to kill her just yet. Taking out his anger from the creators might be a good thing for him. He might be able to control himself better when they were around and behave better compared to what he usually did. He might be able to treat them just as well as those that fed him.

His emotions were teetering from being angry to not very quickly. A moment before he was angry and wishing to inflict pain, but now he was happy again and didn't care if the girl lived.

[Miyu]

Miyu's mind was on overdrive. she wished that she was the smart one in the family. Miyo would have probably been able to think of a plan. Stupid Miyo she would even be better at this than Miyu was. Why couldn't she just be better in one thing.

Well it didn't matter much. it really didn't. She was probably going to die and Miyo was free to be as perfect of an only child as she was an older sibling.

Energy shimmered in her fist. It was time to get serious. Not exactly up to spirit bow time but she needed a little boost. she brought her hands up to block his attack with the energy gathered there. Hopefully it was enough to block his claws.

[Arai]

She was glowing. His fingers tingled as they deflected off her block. He flourished his hand more then wanting to attack her. The feeling in his fingers reminded him of a time he had done something similar. That was when he fought the last creation the creators had made. That was the one that had nearly beat him, till he went on overdrive.


"Arai can do that," the creature said. "Human does not want Arai do that." The feeling in his fingers had enveloped his whole body. After that he was so tired he collapsed on the ground once the creation was dead. He only knew the tingle from when his body gave his mind back the control when he was on the ground before he blacked out.

Arai didn't want to live in this cave with these people. There was always pain, every day some sort of pain. The fighting was always to prove that he was worthy, it was always a fight to live.

The creator's hand came forward and and tried to directly grabbed the wrist of the hand that was glowing. His claws would press against her skin as he would try to throw her to the side.

[Miyu]

Miyu watched as her block thankfully worked. He said that she didn't want him to use energy and he was right. She could barely handle him with out the energy.

She didn't move fast enough to dodge him as he reached for her. Her wrist was caught. Miyu tried to take advantage of the contact and moved to try and throw him instead.

This, however, didn't work as well as she planned. Despite the force put on her side she still felt herself being thrown sideways by the demon. Once again her body was to slow to react and before she could twist to a better position she hit the cave wall hard and slumped to the floor momentarily stunned.

[Arai]

Throwing her took little effort. This actually bothered him more than he was happy for it. Every move he made on her was easy. He could easily out race her and she flinched and defended over weak attacks. He only planned her to move a few feet, instead she went flying. He planned on her to be off balance, instead she was stunned.


Arai walked up to the human girl. His feet flexed and contracted with each step ready to do another action as soon as the reason came about. He didn't think that he had to worry though. Any attack she did give wouldn't hurt him much anyway.

This didn't feel right. Something inside of him said that he shouldn't be doing this but he didn't know what was telling him that. This is what he was made to do... But the girl was so weak and yet was fighting him anyway.

Again, Arai grabbed her. This time it was by the collar of her shirt. His claws tore into the fabric without even trying, like it was wet paper. With ease he lifted her into the air. Again, he was going to throw her aside.

[Miyu]

Miyu's head was spinning. She had never hit any kind of wall that hard let alone a rock one. she really hopped that she didn't have a concussion. This couldn't get much worse, then again now that she thought that it probably would.

She was lifted in to the air with ease. Obviously this was a bit unsettling though not unexpected.

Carefully she forced energy to collect in her left hand. As soon as she could move again Miyu brought that hand up gripped on of his. She was trying to get herself lose and tried to get him to let go by forcing her energy on hi his hand. It wouldn't give him more pain than a slight shock but she hopped that it would surprise him in to letting go.

[Arai]

Pain. Out of all the pain she could inflict on him, that might have been the worst. It didn't even hurt that much but in his mind it was multiplied by ten from all the occurances the similar pain had in his past and how back then, it hurt a lot. As the pain entered his hand his hand instantly released her. The shirt inbetween his fingers slid off and she fell back to the ground.

He looked down at his hand as it shook slightly. That similar pain was administered all over his body. Each body part that was worth naming received a shock and a name. Even when he wasn't learning that shock was present while he was blind to check his reflexes.

Arai took a few steps back from her, looking at his shaking hand. Tightly his clenched his fist and released and the shaking ceased. Shortly after letting go of Miyu the pain had stopped but his brain had intensified and prolonged it.

Through his hair, the creature looked at the human girl with his black eyes. Those were memories that he would rather not have surfaced.

[Miyu]

She made her self land on her feet even though her legs shook in protest. Her plan worked a lot better than she thought it would. He not only let her go but backed off.

Her legs still shook and her head was aching fiercely but Miyu didn't let that affect her concentration. The girl quickly swatted her bangs out of the way were they had been matted to her forehead from her own sweat.

Miyu held out her left hand and energy gathered in it again. This time though the energy manifested outside of her body and formed a glowing green bow. She held it vertically and drew the string with her fingers. A matching energy arrow formed.

She met the demons eyes as she took aim. This was the only thing she could do, she had one shot.

[Arai]

He felt that his control was slipping. The pain in his hand brought back more then he had ever wanted and though his life wasn't in danger his mind was giving the adrenaline rush that it was. But her actions were confusing him.

Where had that glowing light come from? It wasn't like what she had done before, casing her hand with energy, it was in a solid form. How did the human do that, and more importantly what could it do? His anger lowered slightly as he once agian tilted his head to one side.

His actions didn't show his confusion long but he began to backstep more. He wasn't sure what he was going to do about this new threat, or if it was a threat. Arai could only assume that it was because it was being used.

Fear was something that Arai never gave into. He had to fight to live. This threat should just be destroyed and he could live for another day. Arai's eyes gave a shift and the aura about him changed slightly as he let himself loose control. The human will just die now.

Instead of using his afterimage technique to cause confusion, he used it to charge straight for her. The direct path was the fastest. Two images were left behind him as he charged forward.

[Miyu]

Miyu Locked on to him. It was easy to do since he was charging straight at her. She would have thought that he would have been smarter than that because of his actions before.

She made sure to try and hold some energy back, just enough to stay awake. It wouldn't help if she passed out it really wouldn't.

Once the arrow was fully charged she drew the string back farther and let go. The bow disappeared as the arrow raced toward and hit its target.

[Arai]

It was a weapon. But that didn't frighten Arai. Now, nothing fazed him at all. Instead he kept his current path even though the arrow was coming directly for him.

The arrow made a direct hit but did not vanish. His own energy had flared up around him acting like a shield just as the human had. His claws dug into the ground as the force of the arrow was pushing him backward. His hair was for once out of his face. Black piercing eyes looked directly at Miyu as her energy was pushed against his.

However his body wasn't made for defence, nor was his energy. His body craved for full offense which wasn't possible right now. As her arrow lost force his defenses weakened till he got to cocky. The arrow penetrated his energy.

His eyes shifted to the arrow that now entered his body. Though his body reacted to the pain, his voice caught up moments after the initial pain had hit.

Arai, now feet away from the girl, knelt to the ground holding his left shoulder and chest. His other hand was digging easily into the rock ground. Beneath his jeans his legs flexed and relaxed constantly as if he was fighting with himself not to charge. "Run..." He hissed.

She was the first creature that caused him this much pain. No attack was great enough that he had drop to his knees over. Her desprite actions were more powerful then his own.

[Miyu]

She didn't need to be told twice. Miyu stumbled backward then turned and ran as fast as she could down the passage. Her footsteps echoed loudly around her but it didn't matter ail that mattered was getting out before she died.

The fact that she didn't have any energy didn't matter either. She would make it out through pure will power. She started to slow down and stumble more as she went but she kept going. After what seemed like an eternity she made it to the sealed entrance.

Climbing was more difficult than running and her muscles screamed in protest but Miyu kept on going. Finally she was out. No sooner had she made it out side then her body finally gave out on her. As she fell a portal opened taking her safely to spirit world.

[Arai]

The human was gone. His tense muscles relaxed and the pain from his arm had went from just a minor irritation to a burning pain. He looked to the wound, the hand that was holding it was now completely red and there was blood dripping to the ground. A human had caused him to bleed, a human had caused him to be kneeling on the ground, a human had caused him to scream in pain.

At least she could leave. But how long she was going to live he didn't know. Usually Arai killed every intruder. Not one has escaped. She was the first one and really, he wasn't angry about it.



Her escape didn't go unnoticed. The creators saw that someone has seen him and has lived to tell the tale. But now they could do nothing. Out of anger instead of punishment Arai was tied down and whipped. His wounds weren't taken care of, even the one he sustained in battle. Instead they brought him back to his home and left to heal on his own.

His home...

His home was a cage no bigger then ones that they use to transport large felines. It was the worst place imaginable for Arai. The steel was always cold against his flesh and it smelled of his previous meals. Speaking of meals, he wasn't fed at all either.

[Miyu]

When Miyu woke up she was in spirit world. As she thought she had to deal with a very angry Koenma who yelled at her about her recklessness. This was completely unfair considering there had been no way to avoid the fight and she was still alive.

It wasn't long until she was home and then got in trouble there. She was grounded for ditching school and for disappearing for a day. So aside from school she was stuck.

Something was bothering her though. Why had that demon let her run away? They had been fighting, he could have killed her. But he didn't...

The more Miyu thought about this the more it bothered her. There was something wrong with it and she wanted to know what it was. so after school she changed in the bathroom and made a run for it. It wasn't hard to lose Miyo she didn't run very fast.

She rode the train to the city then walked to the cave. It looked exactly the same. She wondered if there were any other defenses in that cave besides the demon? Hopefully not stronger than him.

And once again Miyu climbed in and tried to sneak her way through the cave.
