"I can feel a powerful demon presence here," Fujin said to himself. "These weaklings are drawn to it like a moth to flame." He stood at the edge of the dark forest, staring deep into the thick tree line, dismembered demon bodies scattered all around him. The feeling of so many demons made his skin crawl with disgust. "They have no right to be here and I will rectify this...infestation...one beast at a time." The sun gleamed off of Fujin's ancient diamond bladed katana. Many demons have met their demise to this blade and to his hands. He wanted justice for what their kind stole from him. His family. His life. He would not let another family know this pain as long as he had any say in it.
Fujin was a powerful fighter by human standards, though he knew he was no match for the more powerful, older apparitions. Intellect had saved him many times over where strength had failed. If only his father was still alive and he could have finished his training under him. Fujin closed his eyes and let the memories flow over him, his head tilted back as the wind blew through his long, crimson hair and tousled his kimono. His eyes burst open with a deep rage and he ran full speed into the darkness, sword drawn and spirit energy surging.
The weaker demons were downed so easily by a stroke of Fujin's sword that it was pathetic in his mind. His speed was way more than they could keep up with. "These monsters pick on the weak because they can't handle anything else. Children and elders, killing them mercilessly," he thought as his sword slashed through their bodies, finishing off the last of their small band. Fujin stopped, a look of determination crossing his face. He could sense a powerful demon near by, matching his own spirit energy. His eyes shifted back and forth, not wanting the creature to catch him by surprise.
"So you think you can just come in here and kill my underlings, do you?" A loud, cruel voice emanated from the shadows, but Fujin could not determine a precise location, the words seemingly coming from all around him. "Having trouble finding me?" he laughed. "I can mask my energy so don't waste your time trying. Just sit back, relax, and wait to die." His laugh was cocky and ignorant.
Fujin smirked. "You shouldn't be so full of yourself, demon." He sheathed his sword. "This fight will end with you begging for your life." Fujin bent his right arm parallel with the ground, his fist closed tightly, and placed his left hand on his right upper arm. Blue energy began coursing though his hands, his right arm enveloped in spirit energy. He closed his eyes.
"Unlikely, human. How can you defeat me when you don't have a clue where I am?"
Fujin opened his eyes, smirking again, "Simple."
"Why you little brat! I'll tear off your head!" He lunged forward from behind Fujin, his claws ready for a brutal attack.
Fujin turned, extending his arm and opening his right palm.[glow=maroon,2,300]"SPIRIT CANNON!"[/glow] Two large, blue orbs of energy shot from his palm and hit the demon at point blank range, pushing him through the trees and finally exploding 15 yards in. The demon let out a roar of pain. "Your disgusting smell gives you away, you fool." Fujin stepped over the burnt and broken tree limbs, toward the incapacitated demon. He drew his sword and pointed it at the throat of his foe.
"Please, let me go. I'll do anything. Have mercy!" the creature pleaded, blood oozing from his mouth and around his tusks. "Please don't kill m--"
His decapitation was quick and effortless, the motion only a blur. Fujin flicked his sword, ridding it of the putrid blood, and sheathed it. "I have no pity for your kind," he said with a subdued anger as he calmly walked away.

Something was happening out in his forest. The demon didn't really care though. Many times exorcists come into the forest trying to free the world of demons. Not once have they gotten far enough into the forest to find him. The natural traps in the forest prevents that, not to mention the demons.
Even stronger exorcists have succumbed to the traps of the forest. Once deeper the light is gone even to some demons that could see well in the dark. The forest was home to many demons, all no more then upper C class. Together they were a formidable foe. At least the ones that actually had potential to grow stronger then a C class. There were ones that could twist the spiritual perception of the psychic. There were ones that made a fog that was worse then the one already in the forest. Not to mention there was a rift somewhere in the forest that leads into Demon World.
The hole wasn't big, only weak demons could pass through it. Humans could pass through no matter how strong they were. The bored demons enjoyed throwing trespassers into Demon World and watch to see how long they last.
Crude creatures. But there is no changing them. Besides, if it wasn't for the demon filled forest Yuketsu wouldn't be comfortable.
Another light when out in the forest. That demon was a stronger one. Perhaps this human actually posed enough of a threat to make it to his house. That wouldn't due.
The purple haired demon started to leave the small clearing that his home was made in. Even the clearing had the sun blocked out with looming trees.
Yuketsu wasn't planning to go into the human cities today. He wore one of his most regular outfits instead, a white kimono. When meeting this human, his intent was going to be to keep the kimono just as clean as it is now when he was done.

No light filtered through the branches or broke through the dense fog. Fighting blind wasn't a favorite task of Fujin's, but it wasn't a difficult one when dealing with demons. Loud, fragrant, cocky creatures as they were. It wasn't hard to sense them. That fact and the darkness were likely the only thing keeping them from overwhelming him. Luckily, or maybe ominously, they seemed to be in fewer numbers the deeper he traveled toward this powerful energy. He was disappointed in himself for being greatful for that. He knew there were too many strong apparitions for him to take on in this forest, and he was glad that he hadn't met them all. Suddenly, a thick vine shot out from the treetops attempting to wrap around Fujin's throat. He quickly dodged it and slashed it to pieces with his sword. "All of these traps are getting tiresome," he thought. Many of the plants had been...altered...by exposure to so much demon energy. Some may even be of Demon World. Either way, they would have killed a weaker human. "Damn plants are beginning to get on my nerves. I'm having to use too much of my energy between them and the demons." As he ran through the woods, hoping ditches and fallen trees, he couldn't help but wonder if he would have the energy to face whatever lay at the center of the forest, or if he would have enough to get back out again. He stopped and quickly jumped back a few feet. He sensed that immense energy standing before him. He could not see, but he could feel that this demon was like no other he had faced. Much more powerful than himself, Fujin's face showed his true feelings of shock, sweat beading on his forehead. "So you're the demon I sensed from the edge of this godforsaken place?" he said in a calm voice, trying not to let on that he was fearful. He couldn't help but think, "And are you going to kill me?"

The human wasn't dead. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. Now he had to face the threat. The human was much weaker than himself so he wasn't too worried. This will turn out really well if that little blade didn't stain his cloths. White was a hard one to get stains out of.
It still surprised him that the human was still alive. The demon didn't rush to find him. He took his sweet time. There was one major reason for this. There was still a chance the human was going to die. The second was that more weak demons started gathering since the demon started moving.
"Do you believe in God?" was Yuketsu's first response. Human beings were fasinating creatures. Especially with their thoughts on religion. So far, the only one that Yuketsu has found to be true was Shintoism. Buddism had some effects, so do other more spiritually center religions. Others he had yet to find to be true. "Don't mind that question. It is none of my business.
"Yes, I am the demon you have sensed, Psychic." Yuketsu wasn't the one to insult the human race. Psychics were more interesting then the humans anyway. They had the same abilities as demons, but yet were mortal. "This is my forest. I am Yuketsu."
He didn't feel like fighting today. If the human insisted the horde of beasts that now were gathering around them could have him. The only one that kept them back now was the fact that Yuketsu could slay most of then in a few seconds and that has been proven enough that none of them want to try any more.

"Why isn't he attacking?" Fujin thought, "I am hardly a match for him, especially after I used so much energy getting here." Fujin could sense the growing amount of demons that surrounded the pair. He had found himself in a situation that he wasn't sure he was going to make it out of. "I should have turned back long ago when I could feel that his power so fully outweighed my own. From the edge of the forest he didn't feel THIS strong." Sweat dripped from his cheek.
"Fujin..." He gripped his katana tightly, breathing heavily with near exhaustion. He had killed the lower class demons with ease but the stronger ones had taken their toll.

Was it a good thing that he wasn't dead? He still didn't know but now he was sure that he wasn't going to get injured during this. It wasn't self confidence, it was pure fact. Already it was hard for humans to hurt him. Psychics seem to hit a certain level then stagnate. He knew that some humans can be stronger. Everyone knows the story about the Ex Spirit Detective, Yusuke Urameshi. He was once a human. A human that won the Dark Tournament and had it demolished. The one that had killed many demons both in Demon World and in Human world.
But this kid didn't look like Yusuke Urameshi. He was despritely gripping his sword as if it was his life line. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Fujin." The purple haired demon started walking towards him. His gait was casual. "I apologize. I forgot you can't see me properly."
He shifted around them at demonic speeds then returned to his normal position. The darkness started lifting as he walked again closer to the human. A bouquet of gray-black flowers was now in his hand. A black mist was still coming out of a few of them. "I assume your awareness is strong enough to see in the normal dark. Isn't it Psychic?"

As the blackness faded upward, Fujin could finally see the demon. His face changed from fearful to a look of surprise. Yuketsu stood before him, elegant, and held a bouquet of flowers. Fujin couldn't feel any sense of hostility in him. "Y-Yes, I can see now." He smirked and sheathed his sword. He sat to his knees on the ground, pulling a mochi pastry from his pocket. "So what do you propose we do now, demon?" He took a bite, chewed and swallowed, "I'm too weak now to defend myself against you, but something tells me you don't have a fight on your mind anyways, right?" His eyes shifted around, his senses detecting the other apparitions much more easily now. "You could leave me to them, of course." Fujin hoped that the idea would not be taken seriously. He could put up a good fight and kill many of them, but survival was minimal at best.

So they were at an agreement. That was new. Usually the humans would take a crack at killing him anyway. But this one seemed to have some common sense. Even at full power, Yuketsu was confident that there wouldn't have been that much of a threat. But the hu-, no Fujin, has gotten this far. But since they were at an agreement what was going to happen now?
"All of that is correct," Yuketsu said not moving once he was within a few feet of the psychic. "But it is not my decision on what we do."
The demon didn't pull this from anywhere. He had a reason for saying it the way he did. "You are the one that came here. Not the other way around." Though after he said it he realized he had some power in the situation. It is that the human invaded his territory. It was he who held the human's life in his hands.

Fujin was quick to defend his intentions. "I came to destroy the apparitions that have been plaguing this area and I tracked them to the edge of the forest." The trail of bodies they left wasn't exactly hard to follow. "It would stand to reason that you are their leader, being of such greater power," Fujin took another bite of his pastry and swallowed, "But you seem abit too civilized to tolerate their sort." Fujin continued in his head, "He isn't showing any sign of anger about my killing so many of them after all." His thoughts were racing, trying to determine where this conversation would lead and trying to prepare for all of the outcomes. He wanted to avoid conflict but he had his principles to hold up. If this demon turned out to be allied with those beasts he would have to be met with a fight. Fujin tossed the last bit of his pastry into his mouth and stood. "Before I make my decison, I would like to ask you what your purpose is for being in Human World, Yuketsu. I can't quite figure that part out and it is rather important to my answer." Fujin glanced up to the demon, waiting for his reaction.

Some humans were actually intelligent. It was odd to see a demon slayer not so bent on revenge that he will see clearly. Or perhaps he wasn't a revenge seeker. That would be a first. At first he thought he was going to have to kill Fujin out of his bold words but he explained himself quiet nicely in the end.
Yuketsu wasn't angry from the beginning, even with his choice of words. There was no point of getting angry at humans weaker than him. Revenge leads to to stupid actions. Anger on words leads to even more stupid actions. He was right. He didn't care for the petty demons around him. It wasn't that he flocked to where they were hiding, it was the exact opposite.
"Feel free to kill them. I don't mind." Yuketsu said. The crowd of demons around them didn't seem to like that answer and growled. The more intelligent sort started muttering to each other if they should take them both on. Most of them tried to talk them out of it. "The forest was quiet and much clearer when they didn't inhabit it."
After saying this he definately had to answer his last question. If what he was behaving like before confused him. What he just said would have done it even more. "I believe that is my own business, Fujin. But it wouldn't hurt to tell the nosy human."
The demon walked closer to Fujin. "But I can't tell you in such a crowded place. Do you have somewhere in mind? Any at all, I won't be offended." Yuketsu was curious on what he was thinking. That was why he didn't just chose the place himself.

This demon was difficult to figure out for sure. Fujin felt as ease around him though, brooding as he was. That was his role normally. Put him in a good mood strangely. "There is a cafe' in the city if you would like to go there, but if you would like a more...private venue we could just rid this area of its vermin." The groans and complaints of the demons at Yuketsu's words made Fujin grin. "I think they like you even less than they like me." He chuckled abit under his breath. The little rest he took helped quite a bit in gaining back some of his energy. Food always seemed to help. That's mostly what drove his idea of going to a cafe'. One flaw that Fujin would own up to was his slavery to his stomach. But he was young and it was to be expected. "Growing boy and all that" his mother used to say when she had to make great amounts of food for him and his father. But she always said it with a smile.
"But if you aren't up to it..." he jokingly mocked, raising an eyebrow and grinning. He felt competitive, like it could be a game. He hadn't thought of slaying in such a way in a long time. He hadn't been in a happy mood in a long time. Sure, little moments here and there with some of the people he had stayed with over the years, but they all seemed like just a blur amongst all the fights and the grief over his lost family. Fujin was usually a boy of few words but this powerful demon before him had sparked some new feeling of fun in him. A challenge perhaps, or perhaps an ally. Either way, Fujin was intrigued.

Now the human twisted his plan. They really were fascinating creatures. Even when he is clearly outmatched he was trying to make friends with him. Even when there was a slim chance he was the mastermind behind the reason why he was here, the human trusted him.
"I can handle them." Yuketsu said twisting the bouquet in his hands. He was now casting glances to the crowd of demons around them. Each demon now had a restless look, they all had a fear that a fight was going to break out. Some of them turned the fear into joy or anger but fear was the start of it. "I am worried if you can."
The café wasn't a bad idea but now that he angered the demons around him, he wasn't sure if he was going to have a house to come back to. His unprotected forest home was an easy target for the demons while he was away. After a while they decided that attacking the house was a bad idea, but now they have a reason to.

Fujin eyed the apparitions around them. The more intelligent ones had opted to sneak off with the idea of a fight with both Yuketsu and Fujin being thrown around. The feeble-minded and cocky remained, all at a lower C and D ranking. But their numbers were the problem, not their power.
"I believe I am capable." Fujin said, knowing that he wouldn't be if not for Yuketsu's help. "No need to worry about me."
Fujin bent his arm up and put his hand behind his head, smiled and said, "I would still like to get something to eat either way, if that is alright with you." He was giving the demon the benefit of the doubt for now. He hadn't attacked and was being rather courteous. It would be rude to act any other way toward him in return.

The need of food... Yuketsu's need for food had dropped off severely since he moved to the Human World. It wasn't because of the air or the atmosphere, he just didn't use as much energy before. It was that and the fact that he had grown in strength considerably. Demons were fun like that. As they become stronger or older their need for physical items decrease. It won't be long till it would seem he doesn't need food at all. Not needing human flesh to survive also was a benefit.
The purple haired demon chucked. "I will treat you to coffee then," he said smoothly.
It was easy to talk to him and they were still standing on hostile ground. The human had still trespassed onto his ground and knew plenty well that he had, yet they were standing in the middle of demons talking about going to a cafe as if they were good friends. Even with other demons Yuketsu never found conversation this easy.
No matter what now some of the demons surrounding them were going to die. Demon pride was a dreadful thing. Some thought they were all tough just because they were beautiful. Human pride? That was much worse.

"Sounds good." Fujin felt odd planning a meal with a demon but hid it with a smile. He had known a few decent apparitions in the past, but they had let their desires corrupt them over time. He felt little remorse for ending their lives once they crossed that line. He was aware that this could lead down the same road, if Yuketsu was in fact decent to begin with. He wanted to ignore that for now. Something told him that he could trust this demon. He faced the treeline and placed his right hand on the grip of his katana, glancing over to Yuketsu with that look of this being a game between them. "Shall we?"
