Was he seriously that accustomed to this weather? It was actually quiet pleasant out in the slayer's opinion. "If you needed a blanket you should have brought one." He turned back to the path trying to tune the child out and keep watch as he was suppose to be doing. "Stop whining and go to sleep" After all, he was planning on traveling for a while longer, but this kid decided to crash on him.

The tiny demon looked very put out. “I din’t think it would be so cold.” He complained but curled up on the ground and tried to go to sleep. He was still very uncomfortable and hugged his ragged bear closer. Maybe he shouldn’t have come. Roka didn’t really seem to like him but he had nowhere else to go. He curled up a little more but didn’t roll around like he was before.

There was nothing coming after them. Which most of the time is true. Rarely did he get attacked in the night, well putting it into percentages anyway. At least the kid quieted down. He definitely was cute... And he wished he hated it. It seemed that this demon truely was helpless... and a spoiled brat.
The fire was burning itself out and Roka settled himself on the ground with his weapon near. It actually came to the point where he was trying to sleep instead of just happening to get there. He now had to protect himself and the child last thing he needed was to be tired on top of that.

Sen couldn’t sleep. It was just not comfortable and if he got farther from the fire it was too cold. He sat up and glanced over at Roka who seemed to be asleep now. How was the human not cold so far from the fire? Maybe Roka was really warm? There was only one way to find that out. Crawling on his knees and using one hand because the other was still clutching his bear the little demon crept closer to Roka. When he got that far he sat up and reached out to poke the human. He could feel Roka’s body heat and shivered a little before curling up next to the human feeling warmer already.

It was a fairly quiet night so it didn't take too long for the hunter to doze off. Roka didn't sleep nearly as heavy as he did the night before. Why did he think it was a good idea to drink that much? Either way it didn't matter now since he was still alive.
He didn't wake up to the sound of what his mind thought was an animal. Even when it snuggled to him he didn't think much of it. It was actually a good hour or so before he woke up.
Something... close? His eyes snapped open only to find the little desert boy curled up next to him. His eyes rolled with a grumble. Well, the boy didn't try to kill him... He grumbled as he stood up and moved to the other side of the camp. Roka didn't do this quietly, but didn't purposely try to wake the boy.

The next day It took Sen quite a while to wake up. He trudged along after Roka still feelign sleepy since he hadn't gotten to sleep untill late and he wasn't used to moving so much. Bear Bear was back in his bag along with his rocks and clothes.
"Roka. Where are we going?" The child asked wondering how long they were going to be on the move. He wouls have thought they would have gotten somewhere by now. "Is your home really far away?"

This demon was going to hurt his traveling time. Not that it really mattered at this point. He had so much money to burn it was rediculous. It was a good thing he didn't do this for the money or else he could get soft waiting for the need. Though, he could spend a bit getting rooms in town, save him from dealing with the whining boy.
"I am going to find a new client," he said simply, "And I don't have a home." Which lies half the reasons why he couldn't hold onto a girlfriend for more then a month. The life of a demon hunter leads to much wandering. It wasn't very easy for him to keep his life a secret and be able to leave and come back.

"You don't have a home?" He said with a small gasp. Didn't everyone have a home? Wasn't that the way things worked? Once again Sen's eyes were wide with shock. "What's a client?" He blinked realizeing that he didn't know what Roka was talking about.

How did he know that the kid was going to do everything that he just did? Roka sighed. "No, I don't have a home. I would never be there if I did so it would be a waste of money. And a client is who I work for. Who pays me..." Roka then chuckled and shook his bag of paper. "That is when I don't loot the place."
"Now keep up. I plan on working longer tonight." Since he had enough money, he might as well hit some of the smaller towns. They usually have the problems he wants to fix anyway. But his little tag a long might make nagotiations harder... He sighed.

"Ok!" Sen picked up his pace once again jogging to keep up with Roka's longer legs. "what do they pay you for? And what do you need ot get paid for?" After all Iyashii never worked and he never needed to. No one had ever talked of getting paid before in front of Sen.
He blinked again realizeing something. "So if you don't have a home does that mean that you don't have a mommy or a daddy?"

The millions of questions... One of the most annoying parts of a child, but Roka actually found it fascinating how they never run out. However, he wasn't sure exactly how to answer about any of the questions. "I'm a demon hunter. I kill demons that are causing problems for my clients, and they pay me for it. I need paid so I can live. Living isn't free."
Roka then laughed at the next stream of questions. "Of course I had a mother and a father. I wouldn't have been born otherwise," The good mood didn't last since he knew he had to explain the rest. ""They died a long time ago... I guess you're about the same."

"Mommy didn't die she left." Sen said. "Iyashii said that she didn't want to take me with her so he was stuck with me." The tiny boy's eyes were watering again but he sniffed and kept himself from crying. He had a random urg to hug his bear but that would mean pulling him out of the bag and then he couldn't keep trotting to keep up with Roka.

Roka slowed down and looked at the small child. That had to suck at such a young age. But for some reason he had a feeling that it wasn't the whole truth. He had the stuffed bear after all. He couldn't see the demon he just killed fashioning that, even if it was to keep the boy quiet.
"It could be worse," he said actually quiet kindly. "My family tried to sacrifice me." They had a reason at least, he was purposely trying to rage a war. But still, they'd rather kill him then try and fix the problem... Not that they could anyway...

"I'm sorry." Sen said. He was still running. He didn't know where he was goign but it had to be better than waiting for nothing in the house. "What kind of problems do the people have with the demons?"

This he could write a speech on. But obviously he should tell even half of it to the child. Maybe not even a tenth of it. "Demons more powerful then most humans. Because of that they use their power over humans to make them do what they want. To protect their village humans would do almost anything to please a demon... Pay them money, goods, even people. I try to stop this from happening." That sums it up pretty well, at least on his side. Through his job he has seen many other reasons, some of them just as bad as the demon... But who is he to judge when he's getting his goals done.
