Once they were in the air Ureihi closed her eyes tightly. The height was dizzying, knowing or suspecting she was a demon didn’t change that for her. She resisted the urge to cling tightly to the dragon and just kept her mind focused on the fact that they might find Sen soon. They reached the human world and she could instantly breathe easier. As they were still high in the air however she didn’t open her eyes yet. All she wanted to was to find her boy and be back down on the ground. She knew that Yuketsu was behind her but she didn’t pay any attention to him. Given the circumstances she would rather be almost anywhere else but here at the moment.
Eventually she dared to open her eyes. Below them was a small mansion. She blinked at it. It was in the middle of a forest apparently the owner liked their privacy. The whole clearing around it held an eerie silence.

The dragon gave a sudden lurch forward as he dove downward toward the mansion with great speed. As they reached the ground he pulled up, landing gently.
“Alright, get off,” said the dragon as he lowered his neck. This was where the scent had lead Ruhisaki. Some mansion in the middle of a forest with seemingly no one around. There was a distinct smell of blood, however, that seemed to linger around the area.

Again he was on the dragon. The great show of power that the demon had was amazing. Even though he thought this time and time again (if not constantly) it was not getting old and probably never will, unless it starts getting him killed. The girl before him still appeared to be scared out of her wits about being here though this time it didn't look like she was going to show it. It was actually kind of cute, her dedication to her son. Is this how all mothers act, or just human ones?
Yuketsu didn't want to tempt to anger the dragon so when he landed he quickly jumped off. He would have offered a hand to the ice maiden but he had a feeling she wouldn't have accepted it. His kindness apparently ran off after a while.
The stench in the air was quiet apparent but he couldn't feel the presence of anything alive in the area, other then the normal things such as animals and plant life.

This place gave Ureihi a bad feeling. The Silence was overwhelming and there was some kind of a horrible stench in the air. When she was off the dragon she took a few steps back somehow that smell made her feel sick. But this was no time to be a coward. If they were here then there must be something relating to Sen. Ruhisaki was powerful enough that she had no reason to doubt his tracking abilities. If he had brought them here then he had a reason too and she was going to find out what that was. She moved forward in to the house. She didn’t know if the two male demons were going to follow her or not but she was going to see what was in there. Ureihi made her way inside and the horrible smell got even worse. It was old and metallic and it made her want to throw up. What was this horrible smell? The silence was still pressing in all around her it made her almost more nervous than the smell. It couldn’t possibly be this quiet if anything was alive in here. More carefully than before, she crept forward unaware if her companions were following her or not. The smell seemed to be emanating from a room on her right so she moved that direction. The door was closed, she reached out and pushed it open only to discover what the source of the smell was. Blood, Lots and lots of blood. Her mind reeled for a moment as she looked around the room. There was one figure on the ground it was large, not a child, which gave her a slight bit of peace. She stole forward again until she could get a closer look at the body and once she did she was seeing in a more vivid red than the cried rusty color all around her. Before she even knew what she was doing before she even thought about what was going through her, Ureihi had her sword out and it was flinging downward to strike at the body. She raised it and brought the blade down again, and again.

Ruhisaki had followed after the girl, seeming to keep his calm and quiet. His arms had crossed over his chest and his crimson eyes peered down at the mess. His nose scrunched up a bit. The smell of old, drying blood. The decay was slowly setting in, and this meat was nothing an old demon would be interested in.
His eyes flicked over to the younger male demon. “I suggest you stop her making a mess of herself,” he said. “I’d rather not have someone with this stench on my back.”

Yuketsu watched the girl as she walked towards the house. The smell of blood only meant that there had been some kind of quarrel in the house. If there had been an attacker the problem would have been solved and cleaned up before anyone would notice, that is unless the attacker won. Which would mean...
Following the Ice Maiden he only really paid attention to her. She had been having mood swings for the past few days, going from complete terror to dedication to... who knows what else. That mind of hers was just a jumbled up mess.
The smell grew steadily worse. It wasn't a pleasant smell, even fresh blood wasn't pleasant for him. He liked clean kills preferably with no mess. When the girl opened the door he gave a noticeable reaction. The smell was quiet revolting. But despite this he walked into the room anyway. Within moments the smell grew worse as the Ice Maiden started striking the deceased demon.
When Ruhisaki ordered him he didn't even think about ignoring it. He came forward and tried to catch Ureihi's arms in mid swing. "It is already dead. Beating it more does nothing."

Here he was, Iyashii. There was only one demon she hated more than the one in front of her now and Iyashii had been the one to kill that particular demon. Now here he was dead and she had nothing to do with it. She hadn’t even gotten to see it. All of her rage toward the demon who had kept her for so much of her life was spilling out with the sword strokes. And then she could not move her arm. She didn’t realize for a moment who she was or that she was supposed to be afraid of the two who had brought her here she only knew that she wanted to continue to take out her rage on the unmoving body. “Let go of me!” She attempted to pull her arm away from Yuketsu’s grip and when that didn’t work a large burst of cold swept outward toward the other two demons. “Let go!”

The fire demon stepped forward and his hands gripped her arms tightly. Ruhisaki leaned against Ureihi as he peered over her shoulder at her. So suddenly he had become so close to her body. His grip against her skin would burn and feel as though she would be set ablaze.
“Knock off your little temper tantrum,” the older demon said, his voice slow and calm. “It would be unfortunate for you to destroy what evidence you have worked to uncover. You have no idea his attacker, and what of that son of yours?”

Quickly the purple demon stepped back when Ruhisaki took command of the situation. He had to brush of the chills that were still going through him from the Ice Maiden's attack. He could tell that when it came to energy she was nearly as strong as him, but when it came to knowledge he would be able to win. But if he kept walking into those attacks of hers, he won't have much hope of getting that far.
"Not much evidence to uncover," Yuketsu said looking about the room. "There's his blood but none other. An1d his stench covers up the attacker's" For Yuketsu that was a lie. He could feel the blows that the two done to each other in this room. Some of it had dissipated over the time but it was enough for him to gauge what the attacker was. He looked around the room his eyes tracing the air as if he was following or looking for something. "Unless you have more tricks up your sleeve, Ruhisaki."

As soon as Ureihi felt the heat she had to suppress the urge to scream. The pain from the heat was almost unbearable to the ice maiden. She let her sword drop and tried to jerk free of Ruhisaki’s grasp. Her mind was still stuck on thoughts of mutilating her former tormentor. It was quickly shifting gears as her natural survival instincts took over and she gathered cod air around herself. Her son. …. That was something that managed to break through her rage and pain and wanting to take it out on Iyashii’s corpse. Her eye’s started to flash around the room and she took in the details at last. Iyashii had been a creature of habit in the time that she had lived with him they had lived in several homes each with a similar layout and each had been arranged by him to be similar to the last one. The room they were in now was a study of sorts that meant the kitchen would be up the hall to the right and the staircase up the hall to the left. She pulled that way having every intent to go check the bedrooms for signs of Sen. This however didn’t work with a dragon holding on to her arms.

Ruhisaki let go of the ice maiden as she calmed down. His eyes glanced over to Yuketsu. “I’m not interested in faded scents,” Ru remarked. “You can tell from his injuries what type of weapon he was attacked with. He obviously wasn’t simply killed by the typical demon or he probably would be missing limbs and perhaps chewed on a bit. There is much to take into consideration.”
The older demon glanced around. “But I do not plan to play detective with the two of you.”

Her fight or flight instincts need a bit of a tune up. Attacking Ruhisaki would be the last thing he would do to get free of him. Though he was definitely entertained by watching him flair up and it wasn't against him. The power that the much older demon had was amazing.
"Never would I cut the limps off of demons," Yuketsu said in reply to the fire demon. "Or eat them."
"But the one that killed him knew what he was doing. He may have even been outmatched since it took a few strikes to take the demon down. I would take a guess that there would be nothing alive left in the house." He wasn't sure if he was suppose to say this. But it may be better to warn the Maiden before finding her son dead somewhere.

Now free she was able to forget the searing heat and use her memories to find the correct location. Her mind was racing ahead of her feet and she started jogging to keep up with it. Out of the room, down the hall, up the stairs then first room on the right. She came to the door and stopped in front of it putting her palm against the wood as she took a deep breath and readied herself for disappointment. She already knew he wasn’t here she didn’t know how she knew but she knew it. After that she opened the door and slowly entered the room. It was full of rocks. There had to be at least a hundred rocks all arranged in to little patterns or put in piles. It was a bare room besides the rocks and the bed. Something softer caught Ureihi’s eye and she approached it. What she saw then made her heart cry out in more pain than her head or body had been in these past two days. It cried because she was so close she was so close and he wasn’t here. The ice maiden knelt down and picked up several cloth forms every stitch her own everyone looking well played with. She brought the handmade stuffed toys to herself and fought to urge to cry.

“The best advice I could give is to go after her to make sure she doesn’t have sort of emotional breakdown,” Ruhisaki called to Yuketsu. “Whatever happens when sensitive demons become emotional distressed and all that.”
Obviously he wasn’t very conscious about such emotions or ideas. He had no children of his own and no family. He was glad for the lack of responsibilities and familial duties.

"You're the fire demon. You're a bit more... suited for the job," Yuketsu said. Though he probably had the point that he might be better suited for the mental side of it. Which made him wonder why the dragon was doing all of this. He had absolutely no reason to go this far out of his way to help a lesser demon. Perhaps he was that bored? Yuketsu knew he would never have that problem. The humans were far to entertaining to let that happen, and he never had to watch what he said because he was stronger then them all.
"You might as well come along so you can thaw me when she freezes the house over." Will that happen? Most likely not. If he allowed himself to be turned to ice by accident he would never live it down, especially before the fire demon. Without waiting for his answer, more because he didn't want to see what reaction the dragon would make, he went and followed the path up the stairs.
He rounded the corner and into the room and gave a small sigh of relief. There wasn't a dead body, that was good. "As I said, there would be nothing left here." Slowly he stepped forward and knelt next to the woman. There were many things that could have taken her son from this point. More slavery was one of his first thoughts. Especially if the boy could muster tear gems. Even imperfect gems would sell on the market very well.
