Rie likes her solitude and is naturally quiet. She isn't afraid to speak her mind when the time is right for it. She can have an outgoing personality when she is comfortable in her surroundings.

History:

Rie is a 150 year old demon, high C class. She is half wolf, half fox. Her father was a white wolf demon named Hiroki, who worked for Koenma years before the first spirit detective. His job was to resolve conflicts between demons in the human world before it could become too serious. Killing the demon or demons involved in the conflict was the very last resort he would use if no compromise could be made. It was during this job he met Rie’s mother Kiyomi, a black fox demon. She was becoming a known criminal in the human world when Hiroki met her and set her on the right path. She was grateful to him and eventually they had a romantic relationship. Not long afterwards, Rie arrived.
Hiroki was overjoyed to have a child, especially a daughter. Kiyomi saw her as a burden and competition for affection from Hiroki. She put up with her daughter since Rie made Hiroki happy, but she never had much love for the child she had with her beloved. Because of this, Rie didn’t have a great relationship with her mother and spent as much time as she could with her father when he was home.
She had always wanted to follow in his footsteps and possibly help him in his work, but he had forbidden it and wanted her to be a woman to be loved, not a fighter. Therefore he didn’t take the time to teach her any fighting techniques.
When Rie was 100 years old, misfortune struck her family. Hiroki went to settle a conflict that was happening between demons and negotiations didn’t go as planned. They didn’t like the fact that he had been sent to settle things and he was torn apart until he was hardly identifiable. Kiyomi was struck with grief and, not caring that she would be leaving her daughter behind, taunted and insulted a pair of high A class demons and was killed by them.
Rie was upset and angry at what had happened to her family. She took up the spear that was left behind by her fallen father, and she turned to petty crimes to spite Koenma, who she blames for the death of her father.
She uses the charm technique she witnessed her mother practicing when she wasn’t paying attention. By using this technique she manipulates demons of lower class than her by using a chant she heard her mother use. It fails more than it succeeds since she was never truly taught the technique. She has been trying to learn how to fight by watching other demons, so she attends the Dark Tournament whenever she can to watch.
Her crimes have been going on for quite some time, even though she isn’t really seen as a threat by any of the demons in the demon world. She is rapidly being seen as a nuisance.
She usually spends her time practicing the charm technique and she practices using her spear. She doesn’t engage in combat or tries to use her charming chant unless the demon is that of a lower class, so she doesn’t get herself killed.
Most of the time she is in her demon form, which is that of a black fox with white stockings and a white tipped tail. When she is in her human form, she usually has her fox ears and tail and carries her spear in a makeshift tube on her back when she isn’t using it.
