I'm not a Bloodhound

[Arai]

Pain... Pain... Pain... Arai didn't like this pain. He couldn't figure out what caused it. There was no injury to his body but something was paining him.

When Miyu's energy flared, the creation's growl grew with it. Everything but her was a threat anymore. Thank goodness nothing was really moving, otherwise this might have turned out much differently. With Miyu pulling, he continued to try and gain control of himself.

"Arai can't..." he growled, "Arai sorry..." His grammar regressed as he had much more to worry about. His hand tightened for a moment before he suddenly tried launching himself away from the two of them. He was apologizing for letting go. But if he held on any longer...

[Rie]

Rie was finally free...and she couldn't do anything about it.

Her lungs could finally fill with air, but she didn't have enough energy to get herself to run away.

She simply laid there in the grass, gasping. Her attention went to the forest where the demons were starting to multiply.

She wasn't going to be squeezed to death after all. She was going to die the same way her father had. She was going to be torn to bits and possibly eaten.

No, she had to make herself take the chance to get away. If she didn't, her father would have been disappointed in her.

She managed to lift herself up on her feet. She stumbled for a few steps then fell back to the ground. She was to out of breath and to tired to run, to attempt an escape.

[Roka]

This was a a simple mission. Get the jewels, kill the demon, get paid. Why did it turn into all of this mess and... weirdness. He watched the girl take offense over his fair warning. She definitely had some energy to throw around. How he wished he had that kind of strength at her age. Things might have turned out much differently at the village.

The demon suddenly sprung from the once demon pile and Roka regained his focus. He too sprung backwards and pulled up his weapon ready to strike if he had to. Though if he hurt the demon, he would have this entire area against him. While he might be able to do it, it definitely wouldn't be easy. He lowered the weapon to not be a threat.

"Kid, I'm leaving..." he said finally giving up on finishing his personal mission. "It would be nice to see you again. If you ever need any help killing demons... Feel free to find me again."

He didn't turn to leave just yet. He still needed the jewels, so thus the kid. And he wasn't too sure about this dark skinned demon.

[Sen]

Sen remained curled up when the demon was forced to let him go. He sniffled and continued to try and keep from shedding any tears but it was getting to be a close thing. At least the little demon wasn't in that much pain anymore.

He sniffled a little bit more and looked up in time to see the big scary looking demon lurching away from both him and the fox. He thought about getting back on the fox demon and clinging to her leg again but then Roka said that they were going. He stood up at once and started working his small legs as fast as he could to get to the human.

"I'm coming Roka!"

[Miyu]

Miyu gave a small twitch. She wanted to go after the psychic and she wanted to kick the shit out of him. She however knew that she had a job to do and that she needed to stay on task. Arai would calm down faster with less distractions.

"Should have just. left in the first place." She muttered as she went to Rie happy that she could finally do her effing job.

Before the Fox could work up the energy to make a run for it Miyu grabbed her by the upper forearm and gripped hard. If she were a regular human it wouldn't matter that she was a trained fighter she wouldn't have been able to keep a hold of a demon. Her spirit energy however allowed her to be stronger than a normal human and keep on par with demons so she was confident the fox wouldn't get away.

"Now hold still for a damn second and listen to me. My boss wants to talk to you ok. There is no reason in hell why this should be such a big deal!" She wanted to hurt something badly.... maybe those other demons would come out? Maybe that wasn't a good idea though.....

[Arai]

Pain... Pain... Pain... His eyes locked onto Roka snarling. He couldn't much help it anymore. He was making his headache worse by thinking about it, being confused by it, and not knowing how to fix it. Usually kill it worked...

His toes spread and he lowered himself slightly, into a more hunched position. It was taking him a lot to not attack the human. Arai wasn't quiet sure if the human had anything to do with his pain. That might be the only reason he was able to hold himself back. The creature actually wasn't sure if any of them caused this pain. He was so confused.

[Roka]

Why was the kid a child? Looking at him running up to him with watering eyes was driving him nuts. If he was a normal kid he would be trying to make it all better. But if he was a normal child he would never have been allowed to get into that situation. He was more durable then any human his age.

But then there was that durable child over there. "I heard that," Roka teased. He then turned in the direction of Arai then in an effort to walk away. Warning signs were flashing in his head saything that if he left that demon would kill them all. But she clearly didn't want to be saved.

At least now he was getting out of this forest. The scent and energy of this place gave him the creeps, as it should to any human. He held out his hand for Sen to hand him the bag of jewels. Now he had to figure out how to reward the child. That was causing moral conflict in his head.

[Rie]

Rie had finally gotten some of her energy back and had shakely made it to her feet. She wanted to get away from those demons before she was torn apart. Before she could take a step however, she was suddenly yanked up again, this time by her front leg.

First her tail, then her back leg, then her middle, and now her front leg?

What the hell was wrong with these people? Why were her limbs so appealing to grab onto?

Then the human was talking to her. Her boss wanted to see her? Why the hell would a human want to see a demon?

There was only one answer to that. These humans weren't ignorant like so many of them were in this day and age. They knew the existence of demons and didn't believe that they were only stories to scare each other with.

Rie really didn't want to deal with another human, but she really didn't have the energy to argue. She simply wanted to get to a safe place and sleep. Apparently that wasn't going to happen.

She lifted her furry face up to look at the human girl and narrowed her eyes. She would see this...boss of hers and then hopefully they'll be out of her life for good.

[Miyu]

Miyu's eyes followed the psychic and little demon as they left. She didn't like the idea of running in to them again but at least she knew where to go if she ever needed a helping hand she supposed but she really doubted she would ever do that.

Her attention turned back to the fox that she had hold of. She seemed to have given up on Running which Miyu thought was a very good thing. She fished through her pocket with her free hand and produce the communication mirror and opened it.

"I've got her." There was a pause as whoever on the other end replied. "What... why do I have to?....... Fine fine whatever Portal I get it. ok."
