Koenma had been trying to concentrate on his paperwork. He was trying but he wasn't getting anywhere. The toddler looking entity was starring at the last paper he had stamped but he wasn't really seeing it. This whole situation was making him more than a little nervous. He knew that Miyu and Arai could handle themselves in this situation and that fact was almost his problem.
If something happened to Rie.....
No he trusted Miyu she was a good kid. A lot like Yusuke behind that gruff exterior she had a good heart. Arai made him worry though. The demon had little to no control in a lot of situations and his origins were dubious. If he hadn't heard Miyu's report of how she ended up with him first hand then he wouldn't have allowed her to take the risk of taking the demon in.
His thoughts were interrupted by Miyu appearing on his screen.
"I've got her." The teenager informed him which made the toddler sigh in relief.
"Alright then I'll get a portal ready so you can bring her to spirit world." He replied.
"What... why do I have to?" She started and Koenma knew she was in a bad mood which made him sigh again.
"Miyu I need you to come here." He said sternly earning a cgrubmled reply of fine from the detective.
Once Miyu hung up on him he left his office to change in to his teenage form. It was getting more comfortable the more he used it. One of theses days he may just stay that way. He got laughed at less in any rate.

Miyu sighed once they were in spirit world. This was only her second trip here and she didn't like it. Most people wold assume that being where you weren't supposed to go until you were dead but Miyu just found everyone in this place to be annoying.
She was leading Arai and the demon down the hall. Actually she was almost surprised that Botan hadn't come to meet them by now but apparently Koenma trusted Miyu to not trash things.
"Are you doing ok Arai?" Miyu asked glaceing back.

It wasn't going away. It was as if he had an actual wound in his skull. But that couldn't be true... Nothing struck his head. After the fight with Roka, Arai had settled down a bit. He no longer was growling and almost blindly was following the human girl.
"It hurts..." he replied to her as his clawed toes tapped on the floor
The creation was slightly hunched as he walked and appeared to be in direct pain. He was holding his head with one hand, his claws dragging against his scalp. No blood was being drawn. Miyu didn't like that, and honestly neither did he. The pain wasn't unbearable... Not like when he needed the shot of unknown yellow liquid. That was when his body's self preserving instincts turn on his own body.

Rie's mood had not improved a bit. She had thought that she was going to meet with a human, not go to the spirit world.
This meant one thing. She was going to face Koenma. For the first time in several years actually.
She couldn't really decide what she hated more. Him, or being stuck in the human world.
Most definitely him. If it wasn't for him, her father would still be alive. It was Koenman's fault that he was dead.
She looked at the human. If she knew Koenma, then did that mean that he was now using humans to do his dirty work in the human world?
She couldn't help it as she chuckled humorlessly.
"He just keeps digging himself in deeper, and deeper."

Miyu glanced back at her companions. She didn't like this demon so far. It was this demon's fault that Miyu hadn't gotten her day off of work and school today and it was her fault that Arai had a head ache.
She eyed her partner carefully taking in how seriously his claws were digging at his head. She wasn't cutting himself open so she would just leave it be for now. She wasn't sure what she could do for him. His body probably wouldn't like painkillers.... Perhaps she would have him take a bath if her family wasn't home. That would relax him and hopefully do away with the headache. Arai was a lot of work, Miyu was finding that out more and more clearly everyday. She wouldn't trade it for anything though, he was her first friend.
She really just wanted to drop this demon off and go home. The psychic wondered why Koenma hadn't had someone else come pick the demon up, maybe it was important enough he only trusted her with it, hell if she knew what the toddler thought.
"Just stay calm and the headache won't get worse. ok Arai?" She really was worried about that head ache of his.

Why was he in pain? There was no wound, there was no blood. He wasn't fighting and the fight was a few hours ago... he didn't strain himself during the fight. This was probably why the headache had yet to fade. The pain was making no sense to him. He had never had a headache before, or at least never consciously thought about it.
Arai continued to follow the others. He wasn't sure what was going on. Usually the two of them killed the demon that needed to be taken care of. But this time they let them live. During the whole fight no one died. There were two demons, and a human. Miyu said that they weren't allowed to kill humans, him especially since he was a demon, but it didn't make much sense to him. He killed many humans and demons... It didn't mean anything then.
Arai groaned slightly as his headache got worse. He just wanted to go into the closet and hide under the blankets. It didn't make sense why he wanted it... But he did.

Rie looked at the demon walking beside the human. His claws were digging into his head and he was complaining he was in pain. It was starting to get annoying.
She couldn't help but be curious about this demon though. He seemed to be an adult, but he acted like he was a child. It didn't make any sense.
She decided not to dwell on it. Once they met with Koenman, she was sure she wouldn't see either of these two again. She would make sure to avoid them whenever possible if she ended up going back to the human world.
She turned her head forward again, looking down the seemingly never ending hallway that they walked. Rie seriously considered running off and forgetting about meeting Koenma, but there was one problem. They were in spirit world and it wouldn't be easy to get out of there when she was so inexperienced.
She withheld a sigh. She didn't want to meet Koenma. She wanted this meeting to be over.

Once he was comfortably situated in his older form the spirit world prince sat down behind his desk once again. He looked out over the desk as the door opened. Miyu came in first and as Koenma had thought she would she looked angry. He knew that Miyu was in a bad mood when he sent her out on this mission, when she called him to say they had apprehended Rie.
Arai came in next. This he hadn't expected. The demon looked rather beat up more so than the last time Koenma had seen him. How had he gained so many new scars? He also looked like he was in a lot of pain yet he didn't seem to be hurt... And of course Rie brought up the rear. She also didn't look happy to be there.
"Hello, It's good to see that you are all in one piece."

"Here she is." Miyu said sounding angry still but she was getting happier. Now she could leave Rie here and go home. She did have one thing she wanted to discuss with Koenma though. That guy had really gotten under her skin. He wouldn't mind his own business... She needed something to prove her authority to people like him. That way if they refused to listen she could retaliate by shoving it through their faces.

Koenma's office, Arai was tempted on going to a corner and curling up. But he wasn't going to leave them alone. Koenma reminded him of the Creators. They tell you what to do and if you don't do it, pain. He never let Miyu know this because, well, he hasn't seen the pain yet. Just a lot of yelling.
Pain... Pain... Pain... He wanted to make it go away. But he couldn't. Well, the pain he usually suffered didn't go away quickly. It was still there, visible, obvious to what caused it. This throbbing... He may have had it before, now that he dwelled on it. During his learning process after a long day of being zapped to learn himself and his surroundings...
Arai shook his head, which hurt. Thinking about it was making it hurt more. Why did everything cause pain! He hated pain...

A growl rumbled from Rie's chest. She couldn't help it. The one who was responsible for the cause of her father's death was sitting in front of her. It was his fault that she was all alone.
What bothered her the most was that she couldn't do a damn thing about it. If she tried... Well, she would most likely get herself killed and she wasn't about to give him the pleasure of having her life taken away also.
Just thinking about it was making her angrier, and angrier. Another growl escaped her. She started clenching and unclenching her hands. It was all she could do to keep herself from lunging at the teenage deity in front of her.
