Naiou sighed as she walked discouraged down the street. There were two quickly melting ice cream cones in her hands and she wasn't paying attention to either the chocolate or strawberry. Strawberry was her favorite too..... Just she didn't have the heart to eat it anymore.
Miyo wasn't at home. She was out looking for Miyu thats where she was. And the human girl was going to end up worrying herself sick over the stupid detective. Miyu couldn't care less if her sister was worried and looking high and low for her. In fact Miyu would prefer it id her sister dropped dead. Naiou growled to herself as she continued to walk down the street being careful not to let any of the ice cream melt on to her yellow tank top or light skirt.
She had wanted to surprise Miyo with the ice cream before heading off to a job interview. She was hoping to find a job with higher pay but now she didn't even feel like going to the interview she was so ticked off.
"Damn it" She muttered again. How had this happened. Maybe instead of studying the other night she should have gone to Miyo's house and been with her best friend. Miyo was hurting very much over this whole thing and it made Naiou feel sick. Supposedly humans were so much better than demons. How could the detective stand to be so cruel to her own family. It only figured she had been picked as spirit detective.
She found a garbage can and stared at it seriously contemplating throwing the ice cream away..... but what a waste that would be.....

Walking down the crowded street, Kurama barely resisted the urge to kick the other people out of his way. He was carrying two bags of groceries in hs arms, and the other walkers and bicyclists seemed to go out of their way to bump into him and try to make him drop the bags. He wouldn't of course, but it didn't mean that he wasn't annoyed by it.
The Kitsune was on his way back to his apartment after going to the store in order to restock his pantry and fridge. He had fruit, milk, coffee, and some other items. And these people were bumping into him enough to make him irritated. He growled low in his throat as another pair of bicyclers passed on eater side oh him, uncomfortably close to him. Giving up on this bust street, he turned in an alley and started walking towards the street connected on the other side.
It would get him home just as fast and wouldn't be crammed with people.
He encountered a poorly built wooden fence about two-thirds of the way down, and looked behind him, glad to see that no humans were looking down the desolate alleyway. Crouching, he simply sprang up and elegantly leaped over the fence, landing on the other side with minimun sound and the groceries in perfect condition. Glancing up, Kurama saw an all too familiar face at the other end of the alley.
"Naiou? "

Fine there was no point in holding on to them if they weren't getting eaten. So she threw them both away and turned to keep walking. Where to she didn't know but she wanted to keep moving.
"Naiou?"
The sound of her name being said made her look around and a moment after it was all to clear who it was who had recognized her. her face turned from slightly ticked to extreme rage in a matter of seconds and her aura automatically flared in response to her emotion.
There he was walking down the street with two giant grocery bags in his arms. Why had he even gotten her attention their last meeting had ended on a very sour note and there was no reason that anything would have changed by now.
"What do you want." she snapped a little more harshly than she meant to. After all she had planned on at least trying to stay somewhat civil. Keeping herself alive should be priority over insulting him.

Kurama chuckled at the way she instantly bristled and her aura flared around her. However, it didn't affect him in the slightest seeing as she was only a C Class. He shifted his arms alightly so he could see her better from over the bags.
"I see you're still not happy with me. As to be expected."
Kurama didn't think that she would understand his past work as a spirit detective, and he figured that it would take a while yet. His emerald eyes held a slight hint of amusement in them. If she were in demon world and acted to even a B-Class demon like this she would find herself counting down the heartbeats to her demise. Fortunately, he knew it was mislead anger and he could care less.
What did he want? Well wasn't it pretty obvious that he had gotten groceries? "Well, I was heading home with my groceries and stumbled upon you. I was just saying Hello." It had been around three days since they had met at the human Kamoku's house, and he was suprized that they had found each other again so soon. Although, she didn't look too happy about it.
But did it matter to him?
Nope.

Naiou almost twitched in irritation. Somehow his lack of hostility was getting on her nerves though it was also very relieving. Though his reply to her harshness caught her off guard. Why in the world would he want to say hello to her. After all even though he hadn't killed her for her insults she would have thought that he would non the less not have been happy at all. But there he was just standing there with a slightly amused look on his face.
Sapphire eyes, searched for the answers inside emerald ones. She wished more than ever before that she could read his mind. He was unpredictable and that made him more dangerous that he was just in the fact that he out ranked her by a lot. Why wasn't he a\acting harshly toward her?
Finally there was nothing to do but shush her pride and get on with it. "I don't understand you." She stated bluntly, her arms crossing as she continued to look at him with a less than friendly attitude.

"Ahh, but you aren't meant to." He stated with a slight smirk. He walked so that he wasn't talking between 20 feet and Naiou.
Pausing slightly, Kurama stopped next to where she was standing, and he smiled politely. "How do you feel about accompanying me to Miss Itooshii's house? It seems that our unnamed psychic has woken."
The weak energy signal had only just hit him. It seemed that the notification plant he had embedded into the guest room's plant had done its job. He had placed it there before they had left, seeing as it would send an energy signal to him when the psychic resting there would wake. It had managed to do its duty so far.
However, he noticed the one flaw in his plan. Groceries...
He apologetically looked at the ditrustful demon standing before him. "However, do you mind if we drop by my apartment first? It's on the way." He didn't fancy the idea of bringing his groceries with him everywhere, and he had things that needed to go into the freezer as well. He hoped that the demon didn't mind, but he did really need to put this food away. And besides, the sooner he stopped by his apartment the sooner they could get to Kamoku's house.

"Ahh, but you aren't meant to."
Naiou glared at him even more. What in the world was his agenda. Was he simply trying to get on her nerves as repayment for calling him a demon traitor?
She didn't even stop to question how he knew that the girl was awake. He probably left something there that told him or he could actually sense it form that far away which would be a frightening amount of awareness for one demon to posses.
The telepath would have refused but she wanted to check and make sure that they hadn't left something dangerous with Kamoku. After all she wasn't stupid and knew that some humans could be just as dangerous as a demon. Plus she didn't trust Kurama because of his ties to spirit world which means that she didn't trust that Hiei for the same reason and the psychic had known Hiei. This whole situation was putting Naiou on edge and her head was starting to ache.
To think that originally this was supposed to be a good day..... But here she was about to go to check on her new friend with an extremely powerful demon she didn't trust. Miyo was out wasting her day looking for Miyu, she had missed her interview by now and to top it all off she was all dressed up and had no extra cloths with her to change in to.....
"Yeah ok then....." her eyes flashed to his face when he mentioned going to his apartment. She still couldn't read his face so it did her no good
"And I guess it wouldn't hurt anything........" After all if he was going to do anything to her wouldn't he have already done it? He was certainly strong enough to.......If he wanted her dead she would have been dead and with looks like his he wasn't going to be going out of his way to rape some girl who hated his guts. Doubtless he had plenty of girls he could take home with him all too willingly probably more than he even wanted depending.

Giving a light smile to the demon, he shifted the grocery bag - he could feel the milk trying to break through the bottom of the flimsy paper bag. Walking over to Naiou's side, he gave a slight had motion to the street leading to Kamoku's house and his own apartment. He started moving down the street, going slow because the height difference meant that his strides were easily longer than the female demons.
"So tell me,"
His eyes kept forward as he started speaking to Naiou, knowing that his apartment would still be another few minutes at his normal pace. Avoiding a rather foul-looking puddle, the kitsune shook some red hair out of his eyes. The mistrust that shone in Naiou's own blue eyes was less intense than before but it was still there.
"What brings you out to this part of town?"
He could lightly smell the scent of ice cream on her, and he slightly wondered why she was somewhat dressed up. And although most people would say the same thing about his slacks and forest green button up dress shirt, but it was his usual wardrobe. Now that he was thinking about it, he never really did 'dress down' in public did he? His Youko had a mental twitch as Kurama tried to imagine walking around in a pair of sweats and a T-shirt. Sweatdropping, he chuckled nervously before listening for an answer.
That is if she didn't notice his odd behavior.

She gave him a deeper scowl in answer to his smile. At the same time she tried to resist the urge to scream in frustration. Even if she didn't go in to their minds she was usually so good at reading people at knowing what they thinking and how they were in general. With him it was a completely blank. She had no idea why he was doing what he was doing or what was on his mind. If he had attacked her she would have understood if he had ignored or insulted her it would have made perfect sense.
But there he was smiling at her like they were friends or something. It was like he was completely oblivious to her hatred of him and it was frustrating the crap out of her. She wanted to just come out and punch him so badly but that would be a very bad mistake.
The blue haired demon fell in step with him not missing the fact that he was going slower in order for the pace to be more comfortable for her own stride. She twitched again.
He chuckled slightly after asking his question and she gave him a mistrustful look out of the corner of her eye. Should she tell him that she had a friend who lived close by or would that somehow be dangerous....... Shouldn't be after all Miyo was human and therefore under spirit worlds protection.
"I was going to visit a friend." This brought an even more unhappy look to the telepathy face. "Then I was going to head to a job interview but decided not to go." Not that he needed to know that but since he asked and that was the full answer she figured why not.

He could laugh at the she scowled at him so freely. It reminded him of a certain apparition... He continued walking, accepting her answer. "I see." The rest of their wak was silent between them, and it was a somewhat awkward one.
However, he pondered briefly on the question of what type of job she woud work at, but it was soon gone as they reached the foot of his apartment. It was an little above average aartment, and it was a good place to live.
"We're here. You can come up if you like." Kurama lived on the top floor, and although most days he would take the flight of stairs, he figured that Naiou wasn't up to it in a skirt.. So walking up to a door tham normally would have looked like an apartment door, he paced his knee against the wall and balanced one of the grocery bags on it, making his hand free so that he could reach into his pocket and retrieve his keys, unlocking te door and revealing a small corridoor with an elavator at the end.
Looping his finger throught the carabiner attached to his keys, he stepped back to allow Naiou through.
"The top floor awaits."

Naiou stared at him for a moment before giving a slight sigh. Well why not. She might as well at this point. And maybe it was time that she asked him some questions as well only the ones she was itching to ask she could only do in a private setting.
So she stepped in to the building at his beacon. "You're very popular with the ladies aren't you. The way you look and act. Not to mention those lines." She couldn't tell if he was acting at all or not but she had never seen any man who acted the way he did. It would have been a very good hing if it hadn't been for the fact that she didn't trust him at all.
Actually if it hadn't been for that she may have ended up finding herself quite smitten with him and his gentlemanly air. She mentally hit her own forehead to shoo the thought away. There was no way no way at all that she should be thinking that even on a hypothetical basis.

Following behind the demoness, the kitsune couldn't be surprised as he felt the prideful smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. Well, he couldn't say he was completely innocent when it came to wooing the ladies - nothing like a bit of looks and sultry smiles to sway an opinion...
But in all truth, he was mostly polite (female or otherwise) because of his new view on life after the incident with Shiori. The memories caused his urge to smirk to dissipate, and he calmly closed the door behind him with his shoe. It shut with a loud click, and he and Naiou were left in the moderately lit hallway.
"I suppose you could say that."
Kurama began walking towards the elevator, his long strides making the trip only a few seconds. His keys, all hooked to a light green carabiner, jangled while he moved. Inwardly cringing as he hit the plastic button, seeing as there was only one and it was a small arrow pointing towards the ceiling.
Rumor in the building was that this elevator was haunted and that was what caused it to be so faulty, but he knew better than to believe that. Whether it was a a lazy electrician or the engineer was having a hard time oiling the gears, this elevator was almost guaranteed to break when used. And with his luck in this beat down old thing, it wouldn't be a surprise.
Human technology was sometimes so unreliable.
The silver box rumbled into place, and the doors slid open, revealing a pleasant looking, normal elevator. Thankfully, there was no normal elevator music, and the silence was somewhat welcoming from the bustle of the streets outside.
"Ladies first."

Her eyes shifted to the side so she could attempt to gage his reaction to what she had said. Naiou could have sworn she thought she saw something... but no it was nothing. She snorted at his reply though.
"Mr. Modesty I see."
He pressed the button and the elevator opened.
"Ladies First."
He said. And she felt herself go red. The telepath gave him a slight glare but walked passed him in to the elevator anyway. He was so anoying...... You would think that he would drop the polite act since she wasn't buying it.... but then again... what if it wasn't an act? Could there really be a guy that actually acted like this?
She drove the thoughts away from her brain. It didn't matter either way. He had worked with spirit world. Therefore he was as good as her enemy. She set her jaw as she shifted to one side. Her long blue ponytail swayed and tapped at her elbows. A little nervously the blue haired demon tugged at the hem of the skirt to make sure it wasn't riding up. she really hated to wear these things outside of school but she had wanted to look nice for the job interview.

As he followed Naiou into the elevator, Kurama couldn't help but notice how she lightly tugged on the end of her skirt, or the way she leaned her weight on the leg father away from him. She was nervous. Or at least uncomfortable.
But then again, he wasn't exactly surprised about it. She was letting off signals hinting at nervousness pretty much the moment she laid eyes on him back in the alleyway. Most of it was most likely caused by his connections to Spirit World - the reason he was called a demon traitor.
He moved into the small metal box, standing on the opposite side of Naiou, hoping to give her as much room to feel comfortable. However, the elevator was small anyways, and it was only a couple of feet between them.
"Top floor please, level 8."
The buttons, all with a large black number on them, were inlaid into the side of the elevator next to his companion, and he was sure that she would be able to push a button.
Fortunately, he was one of the only residents on that floor, most occupants of his apartment complex lived on the bottom 5 floors. And considering he lived in a part of town away from the buildings which had large amounts of floors, his complex was one of the tallest buildings in the immediate area. He appreciated his privacy and silence at night.
With a loud shuddering groan, the gleaming doors slid shut and Kurama waited for Naiou to press the correct button. And hoped the machine would actually go to the correct floor.

She sighed a little and pressed the button. This was much to close for comfort. Instinctively she felt threatened being this close to him and her aura was showing it. It was screaming out, 'hey! I'm afraid of you!'
She gave another sigh. This whole situation was messed up. But at least maybe she could get some answerers out of him in private. She could have spoken to him telepathically but she didn't want to give him access to her mind with his strength.
Naiou glanced over in his direction and felt the adrenalin rush kicking in. Her body was convinced that she was about to die and was demanding her do something to prevent this. Unfortunately there was nothing for her to do to relieve this feeling since she wasn't being attack and most likely wasn't about to die.
The demoness reached up and ran her fingers through her hair. Another nervous fidget. He must be laughing at her inside his own head. On the outside he still looked like the impossibly polite man that she was sure was an act.
"A room with a view I assume?" She started a conversation just to end the silence. She needed a distraction and this was really the only way to do it.
